From the Cards' POV Christian Jones is the best player on the board. I'm discarding McCarron since the cards seem to be in a "Win Now" mode. Carey & Seastrunk are nice runners who could help. If you want another OLB, despite the injuries, which I won't touch early, Kennard from USC is interesting. I'll add a couple of other names shortly.

OL is depleted except for Bodine who will go early. All OL's we're elevated like Schofield & Turner. I still like Ben Gardner or Wennington in round 6.

I like Wilder & Zach Moore as UDFA's.

It's later so I'd like more please. :)

Do you see the Cards needing to draft an ILBer?

If they take a QB not named Mettenberger this late in the draft I'll be ticked.

How did you know?

Good call
He's a VT grad, just like our head coach.

He got his own private workout with our head coach a month or so back.

He can throw it a mile.

We have two guys on our coaching staff (Arians/Moore) that have to be salivating over a guy that's only been playing QB for 2 years with the measurable's that he's got. Most QB's coming into the league have been playing the same way for 15 years and it's hard to change mechanics after such a long time. Thomas should be very coachable in that aspect.

All those things together led me to believe he was to good of an idea to pass on in the 4th round. I don't believe he'd have been there in the 5th.

All good reasons.

Once again good call

Thank you sir! In a way it was my second call of this draft...sort of.. :D

Was sitting at a buddies house before round one, talking about safeties. Told him I'd watched every snap from Pryor, HaHa, and Deone last year. Thought Deone was the best SS, followed by Pryor, and hated HaHa's tape. Gotta say I was stoked when we traded back and still got the guy I liked best!

Everything about Deone is impressive, and fills a major need. good call.
