They just finished a 3-0 slugfest on Monday with the 3 points coming in quarter 3 so each team was obviously terrible.

Queue the week of "leaving everyone in until they show something"

Kolb comes in, hopefully lights up a terrible oakland team or has no reason being in the nfl or at least competing for a starters job.

Kolbs goes 7-10 for 97 yards and a TD.

Whiz proclaims his light to have turned on and annoints him the starter.

We go 0-5 to start the season.

Skelton picks it up and brings us to 8-8.

Next year open competition at QB between Lindley, Skeletor and a rookie.

Not sure the OP is calling this a trap game as in we may lose the game by not being ready. More like Kolb could look ok against the Raiders and give Whis justification to continue to start him.

To this I say what if Kolb looks bad? He may have a tough time claiming the starting job if he is outplayed again. Need to name a starter for game against Titans. At least in my opinion.

As crazy as it sounds to make a bunch of assumptions, i think its possible. Its a good situation for Kolb to look better than he is IMO.

Not that it matters, but I thought the Raiders looked a lot better than the Cowboys, this past Monday. They have a good pass rush even w/o Seymour (who I don't know if he's playing on Friday) and will be a good test for our OL.

They dropped 2 #1's and a contract for Carson Palmer
We dropped DRC (#1 pro bowl cb)and a 2nd plus a contract on Kolb.

I still think Leinart is the best out of all of them when healthy. 9-10 -110 QB rating for Texans and went down the 3rd season ending shoulder injury. Just like Leinarts 2010 preseason when Whiz cut him for DA.

I have never backed down cause I thought Leinart , Beanie - Fitz- Levi combo was playoff core for 5 years +

Whiz chose this crap, manufatured some adversity to see how Whiz responds. He has put himself on the ropes, instead of building a teams confidence.

If Matty needed a coach who would boost his confidence and not be a big meanie to him, Matty shouldn't have been in the NFL in the first place. I highly doubt Sonny Jurgensen or Sid Luckman needed to have a pat on the back and a "There, there, I know you can do it" from their head coaches. I'm very sure Montana didn't.

I don't want the quarterback who does. Shoot. I knew Brownies tougher than The Leenart.

After watching MNF this was the first thought I had. This is one of those teams that Kolb might just have a good day with. And being at home wont hurt either. If he stinks it up against these guys he is toast!

Lets see Darren MCfadden touched the football three times . 4 yards, 16 yards and 18 yard reception. Than he was out of the game.
Raiders were down to there fourth string Rb. M goodson back tomorrow.
Jacoby Ford had three drops. Wouldn't count on that happening tomorrow night.
