I usually eat oatmeal for breakfast in the morning at work, what about you?

edit, the poll should say "How" not "Who"

Put really hot oatmeal in a bowl. But sugar and milk around edge. Eat around edge that has been cooled by the milk working way towards the middle.
Woo hoo!!

I usually eat two packets of Quaker reduced-sugar Apple Cinnamon oatmeal every morning. I add less water than recommended, so it is fairly thick, but then add a little milk to it.

Only rolled oats for me. I add milk in the last 30 seconds of cooking to warm the milk. Add brown sugar, flax seeds and a handful of whichever berry is on sale that week (banana in a pinch).

I will not eat instant...there are some things that are worth waiting the extra 2 minutes for. I feel the same way about instant oatmeal that some on this board feel about Fazoli's. (I think I am going to make this my stock answer for things I detest).

I have the economy sized oatmeal box of 55 packets from Costco. It is usually 2 packets with exactly 8 seconds of hot water from my coffee maker at work.

I never thought of that...I have always based my decision on microwave times. I probably won't change a thing about my life based on this...but it could come in handy in a pinch if I am ever forced to get to the office before my usual 8:45 - 9:30 window.

I took the Heart to Heart instant oatmeal (Maple Syrup) on a ski trip this year and it was actually really good for instant.

I have oatmeal just about everyday.

I refuse to vote because I hate polls with only extreme options. I don't like extremes.

I used to microwave my oatmeal, but I realized that the oatmeal had a better consistency if I used the hot water. It seems like it changes from runny to un-eatable think in less than 5 seconds.

I like my oatmeal homemade, with milk - not water. In a pinch, I'll have the packet of reduced-sugar variety with hot water from the coffee maker.
