If he is actually on the market, would you consider taking him and the #6 pick for #1? I want nothing to do with Antonio Brown, but OBJ is just entering his prime. Having Fitz and PP on the team doesn't hurt either!

According to Trade Value Charts: number 1 is 3000 points and #6 is 1600. Their 2019 2nd is worth 520, so if trading without OBJ they would have to add at least 2020 first. If OBJ is involved, we might be able to get a pick with him as well. Thoughts?

I'd think about it, but he's pretty injury prone.

It's not a no-brainer by any means, but his elite RAC ability is perfect for KK's offense. There is only 14M left of dead cap after this coming season. 8M after 2020. He's just turning 26 this year, so will be right in his prime. Plus we would still have #6.

Well.... I like our playing surface so much better than NY. And I think his injuries can be a bit overblown.

With that being said...... We don't need to bust our cap at the WR position. Fitz, Kirk, and maybe a Caole Beasly & Tyrell Williams combo makes sense to me and would be much cheaper than just OBJ by himself.

Not to mention with him just signing an absolutely massive contract with the Giants how can they even facilitate a trade without those bonuses kicking in

Overblown? They’re pure and simple fact nothing over blown about them

It is tough to figure out a deal for OBJ. He is heading into the first year of a huge contract, and has been a bit of a head case. He is small, but explosive. You are committed to 19+mil for the next 4 years.

So first concern is the money. Rosen's cheap deal makes it workable, but it makes future big contracts tough. The tough part is between him and Fitz, you are paying 33 mil in 2019 for two WRs and it would be about the same if Fitz continued to play. It also makes it tough to jump into the high level FA game for OL. So, if you complete a deal, you have to hit on some draft picks.

Second issue is the compensation. Would I trade back from 1 to 6 for Odell? I sure would. Would I trade back if I had to also include a future 2nd rounder, I don't know.

The third issue is the role. In Kingsbury's system, the idea is that you move the ball around. Throw to the open guy. Now, how is Odell going to accept being one of the targets on offense with David Johnson, Larry Fitzgerald, and Kirk. It isn't that he is not the most talented WR in that group, it is that there are several talented WRs in that group and they are all going to get shares of the offense. Odell doesn't seem like the guy who is going to be good with 80 catches a season in a role similar to how the Chiefs used Tyreek Hill.

Don't really want him. He's a diva, injury prone, seems mentally unstable and be a good chunk of our cap (even if discounted with no signing bonus due to trade).

But FWIW he has the same agent as Kirk.

I understand the durability issues, but the “diva” label is so overblown.

It’s not like he’s AB where arguing with teammates, not showing up to pratices, & requesting a trade via social media.

I'd offer em Rosen straight up for OBJ. It's more than fair, they NEED a young QB - Rosen is proven tough without an o line ...he's super cheap for a QB for the next 3 years. It's a fair deal.
Take Murray with #1
Trade the 2nd round pick for Antonio Brown
Then get to work on an O LINE

Cards could have
Murray at QB
DJ at RB
Antonio Brown, OBJ and Kirk/Larry at WR

Now you got something

Never mind - someone mentioned it's a 14.4 cap kill if they trade him.....Rosen is staying

There's no way you can pay OBJ, Fitz and Brown.

Trade the #1 for OBJ and #6. To me its a no brainer. You wont find anyone in the draft as good as OBJ

Surely you don’t think there are more mouths to feed on the cards than in the giants (Shepherd, engram, Barkley).

Terrible idea to blow our cap space for an injury prone diva. If we were a legit contender and 1 or 2 players away then perhaps. We’ve played that card already for the last few years . We’ve finally out from under salary cap he’ll . It’s time to build this team with the thought of some long term success.

I'm not going to change anybody mind on him and I get that but it doesn't surprise me at all that the Patriots and Packers are 2 teams being openly discussed as having interest in him. 2 teams with proven veteran QB's on the late side of their careers, who have done it for years without elite WR talent. Both teams apparently realize how good Brady was with Moss and how good Rodgers was with better Wr talent and are considering taking the leap to get OBJ to take better advantage of their QB.

Clearly Josh is nothing like those 2 at the moment but you can make the same argument, the best way to help a young QB is improve the coaching, improve the OL, and give him someone to throw to, we think we did the first and we're trying to do the other 2.

I'd take either Brown or OBJ, OBJ is younger, like with Brown I think being around Fitz would do him wonders, and double digit TD WR's 3 straight years just don't grow on trees. One of the most obvious things last year was how difficult it was for anybody but Kirk, even Fitz, to get separation, that's something both OBJ and Brown can do, will really make it easier on Josh if he has someone of that level to throw to.

Just ask yourself this. If these two were all that and a glazed donut then why are they being shopped??? They are divas. Their talent is unquestionable but the potential baggage is there.

Adam Schefter believes that OBJ straight up for Rosen wouldn’t be enough for the Cardinals. He thinks the Giants would have to give up more since young QBs are so valuable in the NFL.

I think it's the same reason certain coaches are great coaches but after a few years players don't want to play for them, like say Jim Harbaugh. These guys are great players but they've been in the same place for years and stuff happens over time and eventually both sides want a change. WR's are easier to replace than QB's so even though Big Ben has been MUCH worse to deal with than Brown(legal issues) there's no way the Steelers were going to move him so it makes sense to move Brown.

the Giants clearly need a QB, aren't sure yet if they can get one where they pick now, so they're probably doing the math does it make sense to pay OBJ this much money when we don't know if we have a QB who can fully take advantage of him. Eli is past his prime, they have the 6th pick and that's not a guarantee they will get a QB. Maybe they think they can get a good enough pick for OBJ they can combine it to move up and get a QB.
