It is clear ceiling for Kirk is an Eric Decker.

This team has no #1 receiver.

Brice Butler will make 53. He has some speed outside of JJ Nelson and that is the only reason.

OLine might be a good surprise. Need them healthy. Munyer might be a lock based on his guard play. Can Cole handle 16 game season as rookie. He looks promising. Andre Smith is a weak link. Opposing teams will line up best pass rusher on right side

RBs are solid. Hope Foster is ok. RB receiving skills have to be used to hide WR deficiency. But this league will sniff it out.

TEs are a liability. No hope except for receiving skills of Seals Jones even that is a stretch.

QB room has some talent.

DLine is in for shellacking once regular season starts. Diche is a bust. Need Pierre to be 100% healthy.

Line backers are horrid. Enough said.

Fans are going to pile on DBs for not stopping RBs since DLine and LBs will let RBs get to second level easy.

DBs are good as far as pass coverage. Need to pickup that 3rd or 4th CB IN cuts or trade.

Phil Dawson is starting to worry with missing field goals.

Brewer is solid. As is Andy Lee. Coverage teams are super Blah.
All in all, Special Teams will be extra Ordinary. Not extraordinary.

Not sure what to expect from Wilks. Mostly if his in game situational handling is about average Cards will be OK. If he is next Jeff Fisher or Marvin Lewis it will not end well.

5-11 here we come unless Keim pulls the next Chandler Jones like trade and a Keim time special then 7 wins is a possibility.

It also works because of Gronk, who sucks coverage from the middle of the field.

I wonder if Rosen isn't getting backdoor punished. No one saw a hand injury, but it kept him out of practice and a game. Weird.

I think that there's a significant hype machine running around Sam Bradford. I think that he's a beneficiary of a coaching system that sees three or four times more practice reps than game reps. I have little doubt that he looks AMAZING in practice. When I see him in games? I see a guy that can get you to 9 wins and a first-round playoff exit.

I think Bradford, if healthy, will be just good enough to start the whole season and then we'll wonder how we missed the playoffs when he completed 66% of his passes and threw for 3800 yards. I think our red zone offense is going to be DREADFUL.

I agree on the Bradford hype machine. Bradord is good enough and not good enough at the same time. All hypes originate from radio guys on 98.7 (like how they think Blaine Gabbert can compete for starting job). They are doing fans a disservice with their non-objectivity everyday.

Don;t agree on Rosen getting backdoor punished though.

The biggest issue I see is with the defense. I do not think this defense is as good as it is going to "look", not sure how to better say it.

If Cory Peters, and Pierre Olson can maintain the DT duties, and not get overworked, then I may retract this statement. If Bynes and Bucanon can maintain the LB'er duties and not get overworked, then I may retract this statement.

I am NOT worried about the defensive backfield, the talent back there is scary good, and the depth is very promising.

Rudy Ford is becoming Justin Bethel but with the ability to play a position, Ford made the most of his offseason, and I say that because he is showing it on the field.

Keeping on the subject of the defensive backfield, I think the team may carry 4 cornerbacks and 5 safeties, since Baker is a CB/S/NB, what have you. Leaving you with 4 CB, and 4 S, and Baker.

+1.

I think this had more to do with taking a look at Glennon, and Kanoff, and the possibility of selling Glennon to the league. I think that is the same reason that Fitzgerald didn't play, and that Nelson played the whole game as well.

I would not have been surprised if the DL was fully healthy that Nkimdiche would have played the whole game either.

The Cardinals are not really being secretive about their roster and their plans. The active 45 is pretty much set except for LB, and where there are some injuries (DL, TE, RB).

Fitz is not a #1 receiver for a little while.
What does that even mean? That he hasn't been for a while? That he won't be for long? I don't get it. I don't remember the stat right now but didn't he have like the most catches in the entire NFL last year?

I guess he means that since Fitz plays in the slot the majority of the game then he's not a true #1 (which plays outside).

He puts up the production of a #1 receiver without playing the #1 WR spot.

We need (for next year, likely) a dominant DL and middle LB. Our D would be scary then.
I like our DB's a lot at this point. Kind of intrigued by Benwikere as 3rd CB and Budda as 3rd safety at the moment.
Need some WR and a TE also. Free agency has to come to work for us to compete after this season.

Yup. 90+ million FA dollars available next year . All draft picks in tact. Crossing fingers and hoping Rosen turns into next Matt Ryan at least.

If anything bothered me last night about the offense was how many times on third and short the receiver who was targeted ran a route that ended up short of the first down mark and then got tackled short of it.
Most cases, the WR failed to catch the pass, which made the 1st down issue kinda moot.

One thing you have to take into account at least defensively. In not one of our 3 games did we face the first offense. Rivers, Brees, Prescott, Elliot didn't see any action. As good as the defense looked last night, they played Dallas' scrubs.

109 catches for 1156 yds is not a #1 Receiver? That was 8th in the league as far as yardage, and #2 in number of receptions.

If that is not a #1 receiver you have an extremely strange definition of one.

The entire Cards Dline didn't play last night, either...and most have missed the entire preseason. Let's not pretend the Cards have been playing with a full deck of starters, so far.

1. Dropped balls. The Cardinals seem to be collecting receivers with suspect hands.

2. The offensive line they pieced together in the off season stunk the joint up last night. I know it is an inherited problem and will take several years to rectify via the draft, but the NFL is a win now league.

Fitz aint a #1.... he is a top producing slot guy... your number one runs the outside in most cases.

But most of those were because they couldn’t get separation and were blanketed. Even if they caught the pass they’d have been routinely dropped a yard short of the sticks every time.

So, scrubs are beating scrubs which is pretty much what I said.
