October 8, 2006 is really the start of the New Era of Arizona Cardinals football!

Fellow Cardinals Fans,
Just wanted to say hello and say despite the 1-3 start to the season I (like many of you) am extremely excited about the direction of this team. Realistically they should be 2-2 but things happen for a reason and inserting Matt Leinart into the line-up couldn't have come at a better time. Yes he is a rookie and will make some mistakes but few QBs enter the NFL with the big game pedigree that Leinart brings. One of the reasons I think he played well in the pre-season is because for the past 3 years at USC every game was like a mini-superbowl (sold out crazy crowds, national coverage, etc.) so no stage is too big for Leinart. His quick release and added athleticism will be a huge asset for the Cardinals offense.
With him in place as the starting QB, combined with the young very talented core around him, the new era of Arizona Cardinals football kicks off this weekend. Lets rock the house with the best 12th man advantage that the new stadium has ever seen!

I don't think that play was a rollout, I'm pretty sure it was a WR pass from Mike Williams to Leinart.

at the end of the Cards game on sunday i was left feeling a LITTLE optimistic. With Lienart in the game, the offense did have a better flow. and save for the turnovers (both unfortunate), we may have been able to score a couple of times.

James actually ended up getting a couple decent runs in, and the passing game flowed MUCH smoother. it almost looked as though the offense was glad to see Lienart in the game, and played with more energy. but we will have to see if it equates to better play this coming sunday.

You're right about the pick. I honestly wasn't referring to that though. I was just thinking in terms of Matt and his young legs as opposed to the anchor we had in Kurt.
