Trust me, he's avaliable. They want to get all they can for him as they realize he was a bad pick. Get the most possible as you don't want to be stuck with this overrated guy.

I want Murray but I think this is a smokescreen to make Oakland trade up (again) and we will draft Bosa if they don’t bite.

That Instagram stunt he pulled makes me think he’s not the answer

Will be the biggest mistake made by the Cardinals in a long time and that is saying something.

I mean, its really a boom or bust pick. Not sure how you can think this is going to be a mistake when Murray has not even played one NFL game. Is it risky? sure, this pick will make or break Steve Keim. No one can say this is a mistake until Murray has some NFL playing time behind him.

Sorry but for a team to trade up for a Qb one year then trade that very same player the next year knowing what he went through last year would be one of if not the Dumbest mistakes ever but we really are talking the Cards here so anything is possible

It easily could still be a smoke screen.

I really feel it's more likely they are smoking the Raiders, will end up with multiple picks and a great defensive player

Rosen will be fine with enough talent around him

Or

The coach feels so strongly about Murray that he has to have him

Either way the coach, the GM, and ownership will be aligned. That worked out well with BA

And yet someone who barely follows the NFL knows that the #1 overall pick is often not a QB, never mind an undersized one.

Dont fall into the Doncic trap...

Remember all of those people saying Doncic wasn't athletic enough? This argument is similar.

Which is interesting. QB is hands down the most valuable position on the field. PFF graded Mahomes at 8 WAR and Aaron Donald at 2 WAR. They said even 3rd or 4th tier starting QB's in the league were similar to Donald's 2 WAR. That is one of the greatest defensive seasons ever and it's worth the equivalent of a 3rd/4th tier starting QB.

The real question (one we probably can't answer accurately):

What is Rosen's WAR vs Murray's?

If its plus 1 or 2, you probably don't make that move. If its plus 4 or greater, you do.

Yeah, we don't know what the future holds for either of those guys. If I was a team that had the #1 overall pick and did not need a QB, I would try to trade out of that spot with a team that needs a QB. Would the Dolphins be willing to move into that spot to get Haskins/Murray/Lock? That's what the Cardinals should be trying to do right now.

Difference is Doncic had years of pro ball experience across the pond, no physical limitations, and full-commitment to basketball.

Murray has one year as a starter in the college ranks, is considerably smaller than others at his position, and uncertainty about his commitment to football.

Now, had Doncic only played one year of pro ball in Europe, were 6'1", and had another sport to fall back on, then the conversation would be different.

There was a legitimate argument for Doncic to be picked #1 overall over Ayton, even though Ayton's upside is greater.

If Murray turns out to be a good NFL QB, he will play for a long time and chase the ultimate goal, a Superbowl win. If he hoists the Lombardi trophy for us and then decides to move on to play baseball, he still would've been absolutely worth it. Although it seems unlikely, because the Cards would make him the highest paid QB in the NFL in case of a Superbowl win.

On the flip side, if he flames out quickly and bolts for baseball, he is just another 1st round QB bust out of many. At least he'd be off our books sooner rather than later, and we could look elsewhere for the next franchse QB.

Based on these facts, I don't put much stock into the baseball rumours. Usually when you are the 9th overall pick in the MLB draft, you stick with it and earn your money playing baseball. Nothing he can do for being gifted enough to be a top 10 pick in 2 different sports. He has a legit shot to be the 1st overall NFL pick. Top 15 seems pretty sure, 1st round is a lock. Six months ago this would've seemed laughable to anybody and I'm sure Murray was absolutely planning to make a baseball career. At that time, he was just looked at as a midget late round flyer QB by NFL scouts.

Many Suns fans doubted he had the physical abilities to be really good in the NBA. That's the similarity.

To add fuel to the fire, currently Michael Bidwill's plane is at University of Oklahoma Westheimer Airport
You are right. I thought you were kidding. How did you know this???

Kyler Murray is meeting with the Arizona Cardinals today on the Oklahoma campus, as @AaronWilson_NFL reported. Cardinals hold the No. 1 overall pick; let the speculation continue.
Oklahoma quarterback Kyler Murray, the Heisman Trophy winner, is meeting privately with Arizona Cardinals coach Kliff Kingsbury and general manager Steve Keim on Tuesday, according to league sources not authorized to speak publicly.
