If you can, hit Crif Dogs on St. Marks and Ave A. I think its a better dog, though Grays certainly have their place. Ive read good things about Peasant. If you need any other Food recs, I'd be happy to share some holier than thou opinions with you.

instead of olive oil/butter and bread, Peasant puts ricotta cheese on the table with bread to start the meal. Sooo good.

If you like spicy food and crazy hipster scenes, you could try the restaurant that I used to sous chef in before I left when my daughter was born. its Malay food, and real real good, but a bit different in flavor profile than a lot of other asian food. Its called Fatty Crab, Hudson and Horatio.

Anyone on the west side should try Dazzo's Dog House on 62nd and Glendale. Great Chicago style dogs and Italian Beefs.
