Well, the hype is there, so here's the thread....

Greg Oden debuted against Valparaiso with a double-double of 14pts and 10rbs. Post his stats as the games go....

Dude looks like he is 47 years old and has worked on the GM assembly line for 30 years.

LeBron looked at him and said "Damn, you dont look your age."

That's what I thought.

I couldn't believe Leon from Above the Rim was still balling.

LOL! Classic...his new name is Shep.

"All you gotta do is score, Kyle."

"You hear that Nutso? The boy here says he owes me. HE owes ME. Are we even? ARE WE EVEN? You don't owe me nothin. You owe yourself and ones who cared to get you here. Believe me. I know."

Don MacLean was talking about Oden during the UCLA/Riverside game and he said "there is no way that kid is a freshman, if you said 11 year NBA veteran I'd believe you, except that would mean he's on the downslide and this kid obviously isn't, but physically he looks much older than he is."

Pretty amazing debut he's basically playing one handed. With Oden Ohio State might just be the best team in the country, he completely takes away the paint.

Oden's game was statistically virtually equal to Noah's. I didn't watch the game, so I defer to those of you who did. Statistically, Horford had the best game of the 3 bigs in this game....

He got schooled by Florida.

He looked exhausted but when he wsa in the game it was competitive. that huge run started with him out, but he came in and couldn't stop it.

Best play of the game was his blocking Brewer from behind and then blocking a dunk followup by Noah. but he was clearly run off the court by the fast big guys from Florida.

I still say Florida is the best team I've seen this year, losses or not.

I went to the Ohio State v. Northwestern. Oden didn't play a very inspired game. Granted Ohio State beat NW by 26 (I think) in Columbus, but if Oden would just stand under the basket most of the game without much hustle. I think he scored 16 points. 16 points against the slow NW team should be equal to about 8 against a decent team. It cracked me up seeing him just stand there with his hand up on offense all the time open or not. He also has a habit of putting the ball on the floor in traffic instead of going up strong.

Upon hearing that he is right-handed, and was shooting left handed, I will give him a break.

So will he be picked #1 if he goes pro, or will Kevin Durant, if he goes pro?

Yeah, that is what I think. Why I watched Cold Pizza with Greg Anthony and Skip Bayless yesterday, I'll never know.

I watch the beginning of that show every morning while waiting for my girlfriend to decide which outfit works right that day so we can carpool to work. Skip never ceases to entertain me, half of what he says is just to be controversial.

Oden is so big he'll go first even though Durant is clearly the better player at the moment. But nobody wants to be the GM that passed on the next great C so I seriously doubt someone will take Durant first.

Ask D-Dogg about the time he could have kicked Woody Paige's ass.
