I say C becouse we still don't have a DE and we lost Boston that could have been big with Blake and we wouldn't have to worry about a #1 Rec. But C for adding respect to Cards name.

I'd say B- so far.

At QB, we lose Plummer but get Blake in return. It is an upgrade, but not a block buster move = B

At RB, lose no one, resign Shipp, Prentice. Sign Hodgins, Emmitt = A

At WR, lose Boston, MarTay, possible Sanders. Sign no one = F

At OL, sign Garcia, Grutts let go = C

At DL, resign Davis, sign no one, lose no one = D

At LB, possible lose Freddie, sign Darling, possible cut Rutl = C

At DB, lose Lassiter, resign Coby, sign Jackson = B

I'll feel much better when we get a vet WR after June 1 & draft a pass rusher in the draft.

I really believe that Boston has been gone for awhile now, and keeping him would've been a mistake, though getting nothing was stupid. I have heard stuff (all hearsay) that I don't want to post on this board right now about Boston.

Dude, losing Plummer is addition by subtraction (WTF does that saying even mean?)

I say B- currently............. Only negative so far as I see it was not receiving any compensation for Boston this year.... but the organziation has mentioned there were on & off the field problems that can't be made public.... so I guess they didn't want to make a committment.... their call..... a minor error in judgement........... If they address the pass rush problem & WR I will move them up to an A-....... And so far I don't think anyone can complain that they haven't made efforts to do so..... If Colvin has signed on the dotted line I would be saying A- right now..... draft and free agency can still get it into the A column

I would give a C- maybe a D+,

basically they traded

Boston
Plummer
Lassiter
Mackovicka
Jenkins

for

E Smith
J Blake
Jackson
Hodgins
Darling

If that was a proposed trade I wonder how many people would have wanted it done??

Cards old Weakness-QB/DL

Cards New Weakness-WR/DL

I guess it balances out.

For me it is a C. Average stuff. They didn't make the kind of splash they needed to (and could afford to) however they didn't stand pat either. Some decent signings but nothing to get all pumped for. Blake is the biggest signing IMO...I have mixed emotions on Smith's signing. Time will tell if that made any sense (although right now I lean towards it was a bad move...but am still basically indifferent).

You can't really make that claim because there is no way you can make the salaries line up.

I know but its a good way of judging the comings and goings of players on this team, I thought it was an easy way too look at the whole picture

Who were the two geniuses that gave it an A??? Cowboys fans

The Cards basically added a journeyman Vet QB that is average, an over the hill Running back that is going to replace last years best player in Shipp and take away his carries, and another DB that did well in his surroundings like Starks in Baltimore, that will not even come close to the level of play he reached in the Super bowl. plus the Cards added a FB.

now add that to losing a guy like Boston that has the potential to be the next T Owens and alot of others and it would be ******** too give this team an A, considering they got zero comp for Boston or Plummer, Come on Now

Boston is just as likely to become the next Luis Sharpe or Lawrence Taylor!

I graded them a C but a low C at that. They lost their best WR and another WR in Jenkins, they failed to add to the DLine and struck out on Colvin.

The additions of Blake(better than Jake), Jackson(better than Lassiter)and Hodgkins(better than Missablocka) do a little to make up for not landing anyone significant and losing Boston. I am still holding out hope for an exceptional draft and a couple of post June 1st acquisitions.

This is like a mid term grade I guess.

I give them a C so far. Adding Darling,Hodgins,Jackson upgrades.Blake,Emmitt Smith lateral moves along with Garcia.Losing Cokehead Boston`s talent on the field hurts.Losing the distractions doesn`t.Still work needs to be done.

I gave them a "B"...

... because for the Cardinals it's an above average off season. If I was judging them by NFL standards, it woulda been a C-

Isn't LT a hall of famer? Why would you want to lose a hall of famer to free agency (essentially releasing him, in this case)?

Perhaps you can ask the Neeners front office for your answer.

I give us a C+. If we had not been idiots with letting Boston go for nothing I give us a B. We still have the June cuts to look at and could still add a player in FA or with a trade so the jury is still out.

Krang I bet you heard he was only 5'9" and had a 38" chest.

Perhaps, but drug problems didn't affect LT as much so early in his career. David is an Ohio State guy....we all know they are a bunch of overrated druggies! :D

:Krang says this as tomatos fly from the OSU fans in the audience:

I don't think Boston will be a hall of famer. With the patellar tendonitis he has so early in his career, he will hit the wall much earlier than many great players do.
