I was thinking perhaps our FO had an ulterior motive in drafting Williams and Housler. Primarly, they loved these guys and thought they could help us win. Understood.
But maybe they wanted to empahsize adding offensive weapons in this draft to help entice whatever veteren QB we will eventually go after.

I belive this to-be-determined QB is the single most important pickup we're going to have this offseason. We've all heard the rumours that we have Bulger/Hasselbeck/whover "in the bag" but who knows if any of this is true.

I'm not saying they drafted these guys exclusively for that reason, but could our board have been set up with this "need" in mind ? It's possible.

The Cardinals wanted to get more explosive on offense so that they didn't have to string together 12 play drives. They are deep at WR, so instead of adding a top speed threat there, they added explosive play makers at RB and TE.
