After the Draft Dallas can lose Nash alot easier.

Dallas is not a balanced team. Marion would be a much needed player on thier roster because he does so much. Finley & Marion together would be NICE.

Nash would Improve this team dramatically. His outside shot & full speed ahead approach is exactly what we need. His weakness on D, wont be so bad when he isnt on a horrible defensive team like Dallas...

Seems like a perfect trade for both teams. We could still add several veterans like Foyle/Dice/Berry... Not to mention KOBE would still be an option...

This is too weird to say much about.

1. Nash is not going to get anything close to what Marion gets.

2. SF is the one position the Mavs are NOT looking to fill.

3. Nash is not as valuable as Marion to the Suns.

I didn't realise we weren't a weak defensive team. Even if you think we have a much better D than Dallas surely you can see how it won't be after we trade Marion for Nash.

I would cry if we did this trade. Not only is Marion better but he's younger than Nash

Why trade Marion for Nash when you can sign him without compensation. If Mavericks want him more than we do, then they have every right in the world to over pay him.

If they sign him he may end up in LA anyway, so if he wants out of Dallas he can sign for more there and end up with the Lakers with a bigger contract.

My prediction is that if the Shaq to Dallas deal goes through, Nash to LA, Payton to Dallas. Shaq was the one that convinced Payton to join him, and would probably ask that Gary be included in the deal with the Mavs. One reason that Dallas picked Devon Harris in the draft is that he would take over for Payton.

How about signing Kobe outright, and then sign and trade for Nash?

Nash
Kobe
JJ
Amare
Jake

I'm not one who is a fan of the Suns getting Nash, but if we are going to sign Kobe, I think that lineup would be better than one with JJ, Kobe, and Marion.

NO TRADE FOR NASH! Either we sign him outright to a free agent deal, or get ANOTHER PG. He's not worth trading anyone on our team for. We have young healthy prospects. I don't want an older easily hurt guy at the expense of our prospects right now. Maybe if we see our guys not progressing after a season or two, but right now I'd rather see if Barbosa can improve, and all the rest of our guys, too! :hulk:
