I find it ridicolous Marvin Austin is still on the board. For me he was the second best DT in the draft behind Dareus and should've been a top 15-20 pick imo.

I didn't want an RB here, I think SF took our guy, but that said. Speed doesn't always tell the story. This guy is a "long distance runner" not a "sprinter". he's got the stamina, when he's healthy, to be fresh in the 4th Qrt when 4.61 looks a lot faster.

At least we know Whiz means it when he says he is taking BPA. People complain when we don't and complain when we do. No winning.

Interesting pick...

Could surprise. :) I always luv' reading "our" reactions. Just an example, go back and see how the "board" welcomed Kurt Warner. It was BRUTAL. That turned out pretty well for us. Give the kid a chance is all I'm saying. Our RB's clearly didn't scare anybody last year. Any improvement in the running game makes it easier for Fitz' & co. to operate. GO CARDS! :D

What happened? I thought Reed was picked and I walk away for a minute and Houston has Bowers.

ESPN draftcast had Reed picked I guess they were wrong. It wasn't Sando he's the one nailing every pick. I just assumed they were right when they had his bio up on screen.

The thing that caught my eye about Williams is his lateral mobility.

I hate the lockout is back with the new court ruling.

Kid told Freddie Coleman on ESPN radio that during his visit to the Cards, they told him they would pick him if he was still on the board at 38. Even stayed in New York an extra day because he thought he was going to be picked

Now espn has Reed picked at 10 and Bowers still on the board? So who is still available Bowers or Reed?

Yeah they have it that way again on Draftcast. I went back and looked it was Sando who picked it and he's been 100% so he's clearly getting it from someone at the NFL and that means it is almost assuredly Reed not Bowers.

Happy for my boy Wisniewski going to his uncle's old team.

I agree with Jamie Dukes, I think people have been far too conservative in passing up on him because of potential problems 5-6 years down the line. The guy flat out produces in rushing the passer time and time again and I consider that great value anywhere in the 2nd round.

and there goes Bowers. Great pick for Tampa
Right after the pick, on the ESPN Mort said he failed his physical at the combine and there wasn't a single Dr. who would certify him for play in the NFL. They said he needs a second surgery that will be so extensive that he'll need 8 months to recover from it.

Anyone know where there is a running "best available" list?
