Schefter hypothesis that a team like the Cardinals could pick him in the third round, should he fall.

He reiterated that just his hypothesis
Would you take him in the 3rd round? I sure as hell would. If he fails? Eh, he only cost a 3rd. If he succeeds? Kyler who?

The CB convo goes back to the depth chart discussion. Here is the room.

SMB
Max Melton
Garrett Williams
STV
Elijah Jones
K Clark

Do you really want to draft a player who has to compete with Melton to get on the field? If the CB hits, the 2024 draft gets even worse because you wasted a 2nd or 3nd round pick and maybe both.

The only CB I'm interest that is left is Morrison, because I think he's a round 1 talent and a potential CB1. Everyone else IMO is equal to or worse than Max Melton.

It would be good for him to look over his shoulder

Fair competition like always
I think thats why they brought in new guys this year. Obviously Kyler feeling secure in his position didnt allow him to relax and reach new heights...so now they try pushing him with other guys, getting him out of his comfort zone to see if that makes him work to get better.
Obviously Brissett is not as good as Kyler, but he has a lot of starts and he has won games in the league
I would jump on Sanders in the third round, hell, last night I was even considering him for the 2nd round

That was my final stand on the situation too...I considered it...but then the initial high from my Lemoncello wore off and I came to my senses...we need an OG, a Mike, a Burner, and maybe another RB....forcing Dieons son to ride the bench for the next four years is a luxury we just cant afford right now.

I’m still very confused in so many posts thinking we are going to yield an impact WR for this season in rounds 3 and 4. This is very rare. It can happen, but very low percentage. I still think the route is to trade for Jameson Williams. Sounds like Detroit is money strapped and don’t want to extend him.

You really think he is going to be better than Kyler? I sure don't.

I prefer the Cardinals not draft for need. Rather they get the best value at their pick. No need for them to reach for an ILB if one isn't worth taking there.
It's so refreshing to be in a place on the roster where we don't have to draft for need.
