I frequently visit my oldest sis and bro-in-law in NorCal (San Jose to be exact) and to me it's beyond too cold there. True, I consider anything below 75-degrees to be cold and practically shiver when the temps are down in the 50s here, so I know I'm the extreme case.

Back in MI I kept my apartment temp around 90 degrees (even in the summer), so that prepared me for triple digit temps.

I just love warm weather. It reinvigorates me.... Cooler temps wasn't what I couldn't tolerate the most about living in MI. It were those days in which at noon it would be 65 degrees and sunny, but suddenly w/in a span of 6-hours later the temps would drop to around 30 degrees and it would be snowing. It was if as though I traveled from the North to South Pole within a matter of a day. I just couldn't deal with that type of range. A 30-degree drop here is tolerable....the exception though would be during the winter, but those nights are quite rare.

I too prefer the HOT weather versus the COLD weather... No matter where you live in this country, with the exceptions being most of the California coast, and the Florida coasts, you have to deal with weather extremes... While I love HOT weather, I really, really love HOT weather with super-low humidity!!
That said, I'll admit that during the months of November thru March - even April at times, I do love the refreshing cool and sometime downright cold nights up here in North Scottsdale! Not uncommon for the temps to dip below 40 degrees and with no humidity, it feels colder... I love that we can have that and then by noon the next day, be at 60 degrees!!
Just can't beat it...

I'll take cold weather any day. You can always put more clothes on. Once you're naked & still melting, there's not much more you can do.

Ever lived in extreme cold climates?? It's one thing to play in it, but another to live and work in it.
Here, even if it's 100 degrees or so, air-conditioning does help, no? And at night, with the exception of August perhaps, it's still nice enough to sit outside...

Does northwest Pennsylvania & Buffalo count? ;)

That's what sucks about the heat...you can't leave your house. Once I get overheated, I can't cool down. It sucks. I hate this heat. Blah.

I do not miss scraping ice off my windshield at 6:30 a.m. in single-digit windchill temperatures for a second. :) Or having it be so cold that the lock on your car door is frozen shut.

I say you gotta take the good with the bad, no matter where you live.

That's narrow minded thinking

That kinda sucks.... do you want pitty sex? I think I could line that up in 3 PM's or less
I'm flattered? But no, thank you.

Tell me when you wanna hit Scottsdale again. I am so sure we can find you a one-night stand there (if that's what you're looking for).
I'd love to hit Scottsdale with you again, but no, not looking for a one night stand.

Sigh.

One night stands are really uncomfortable..... Do you stay or do you sneak out at 5 am and never speak of it again?

We never know if you're joking. Trust me, it's a topic of conversation.

Ryan once called me and told me he had Michael Carbajal on the phone.. He puts him on the phone and I say "this aint no mother******** Carbajal!" .. Well turns out it really was Carbajal..

I think everyone thinks Ryan is boy the boy who cried wolf.. You just never know when he's serious..

Well, truth be told, I left Buffalo when I was 4 ;)

Pennsylvania was BRUTAL. Blizzard of '77. I am sure I've mentioned it here before--somewhere--it snowed so much that we could take our blue disc sled things out the 2nd story window down into our backyard. I thought it was awesome. My parents, not so much.

I wouldn't want to live anywhere where it got THAT cold. I just prefer the cold to the heat, that's all. I imagine a few winters in really bad weather would change my mind...

I am just getting to know the above experiences. So far, I'll take the above over 115 degree temps. But we shall see after a few more Chicago arctic winters.
