Expect the Cardinals to sign another guard this week. A source to me after the news of Evan Brown returning to Arizona broke: "That won’t be the only guard move." There's a feeling inside the building that Will Hernandez could be a later-week signing if he doesn't get more money to go to another team before then.
Bringing back the band! #championship

Honestly the OL wasn't what lost us games it was the DL, specifically Edge. They still can get some top players there.
Which top players are you thinking of? and why would you think Monti would spend to sign them?

The better question actually is, do you not think the line could have been upgraded and if so, why wouldn't you upgrade it when you have the space to do it?

So aggressive. All of these contracts are overpriced and so it is better to trust the process and have another 8-9 season. Gotta stay healthy with the cap.
Next year's FA class has some potential STUDS. Gotta keep our powder dry, plus we want to extend Trey McBride. If we do that, it's basically the same as adding arguably the best FA player in the draft. If you really think about it.

It will be a movie in here when the Cardinals trade back in round 1 this year.

I'm thinking Hendrickson and Wharton. I do think Monti is going to do something because every report I hear is that we are going to do something big on the DL. I know that's not a guarantee but he knows he will look terrible if he didn't. Now we hear he was close to Williams. I'm glad he didn't overspend on that guy though. 75 million is a lot of cap space, but it goes quickly when you sign big name players, plus we gotta get Trey McBride an extension and that won't be cheap.

All snark aside...I really hope the Cardinals do make a significant move to upgrade their roster. Fans deserve the team to actively try to spend money and improve the roster. Unfortunately, I don't have much faith in that which is sad because I think Gannon is a decent HC.

Wasnt Ian Cunningham the assistant GM that turned us down?

Dont love that move, but we're going to spend big money on Sweat to get him.

Sick of hearing about cap space. You have to roll the dice and know you might have a little less next year. It can be done. We just don’t or we just know how to.

So many desperate over paid deals so far, the majority of which will be huge busts.
Maybe Hendrickson will come here for 20m.
You will be the house speaker in a couple of weeks to dissect and explain just how frugal and smart this organization is. I’ll look forward to that.
