2nd half should be RUN RUN RUN and when you think about passing run it again.

Surprising how when something is working pretty well, they just quit doing it...even when PIT knew it was coming.

It's not our day. We can't win this game if we are going to commit TO's, miss FG's etc.

Another frustrating "what coulda been" game.

i'm really starting to think there aren't "what coulda been" - these games are what they are... rinse and repeat.

Really pissed that Matt has just looked so ridiculously inept. I was jumping for joy when we got him and thought he'd be the least of our problems this year... who knew he'd be the biggest one.

Okay, come on boys rally behind Father Time!

Not the ending you want

Well, the Cardinals move into position but Neil Rackers' 52-yard field-goal attempt veers wide left. Ouch. Kurt Warner did a good job moving the Cards into position against the clock. I am guessing we will see Matt Leinart to start the second half, but I will not be surprised to see Warner some more in this game.

Rackers tied the game last week and he tied and won the game against SEA. All the Rackers bashers are making fools of themselves.

Rackers also missed 3 FGs at the end of the LAST THREE FIRST HALVES. He makes those and each game is a different ballgame.

Warner can throw and zip that thing anytime. Only thing is it seems we have more than one skillet hands. We need Q.

Maybe it is semantics but he did not tie the game last week and win the game the week before...he just did his job along with whatever other players did theirs. Today, he did not do his job...at least not yet. Maybe he will get a chance to redeem himself but in a game that looks to be close and low scoring, that 3 point miss could be huge.

Or am I still being foolish?

I would like to see Matt stop throwing off balance, that is really what hurts him the most IMO, he needs to step into his throws more and do much less of throwing off the back foot.

I really think we should see more Edge, I guess they are falling into the same trap they do each year, enamored with the pass. I really think we can run on this team if they stick with it.

Remember the '97 season when we had all those 1 and 2 point "oh-so-close" losses? This year is reminding me of that year so far anyway.

I hope that trend doesn't continue, that was a terrible season only mitigated by Jake Plummer's promising play to wind up the season.

this team is never in sync. If O is great, then ST or D if off. If D is great, O or ST is off. Someone will just pull them down to lose the game.

If I am James I give the why arent we running the ball speach after the game. He is on pace for what 17 carries?

And do we not have a rb screen in the playbook? And where are whiz's misdirection plays?

Our D is doing a great job. Afraid it won't last though. Leave Warner in as we have to move the ball.

Why do I keep seeing Matt's name mentioned in the future of this game. Are you guys watching this? I hope we dont see him in a helmet again until the next practice.

Yeppers I hope not as well. The only good thing about '97 was that it set up '98. I guess at worst we could hope for a repeat and maybe next year will be a playoff year. Regardless these close losses so far this year are bitter to swallow.

we have 34 yards on the ground ..am i missing something?

i know that was a a decent drive but its hardly setting the field on fire.

yeah but running is one of those things that cummulates in your benefit over time, but you need to stick with it, it also opens up the passing game. I know we are used to pass happy teams here, but running really does work if you stick with it.

that IS Cardinals football!

seriously. The only time I can ever remember this team putting together a full game was in Denny's first year when we waxed the Saints, something like 34-7.

it's very disheartening to have scored 7, 17, 3 and 0 points in the first 4 first halves of the season.
