I know a lot on this board really liked Pat White and Myrone Rolle. Some wanted us to draft Rolle. Both cut today.

Michael Clayton goes from rookie superstar to bum in a matter of seconds. Was released today.

Coach was very cryptic when talking about the fact that we only had 3 OLB's, but I dont see any worth while to pick up as of yet, pass rushers just are not let go.

Any other interesting cuts?

I would like to see us take a flier on Nate Vasher as a nickle back and Jeremy Williams for the PS. Both cut from SD. J Williams is out of Tulane and had a solid showing at the Senior Bowl. Good hands, big body. They let him go because they traded for Crayton or else he would have been in.

I remember reading that the Giants were stacked at FB. They released Jerome Johnson, anyone know if he is worth a look.

Housh officially released. Not that we need a WR, but I wonder where he lands.

The Giants released DE/OLB Alex Hall. The Cards tried to claim him earlier. With the lack of OLB depth on the team, it would be surprising if they didn't try again.

Good catch on that news. Didnt know he was cut.

Eagles, Cards and Pats put in a claim on him the first go around. Unless anyone has gained a new respect for the guy since then and if we still have interest I see know reason why we wouldn't get him in the waiver process if we again put in a claim.

Derrick Burgess was cut if the Cards want an old big time reclamation project. Wouldn't be my cup of tea but I am desperate for a 4th OLB.

Hartwig went to Pitt after Wiz and Grimm left so if he came here it wouldn't be because of the Pitt connection as we think of it.

Certainly could bring it at one time. Haven't seen him play in a while.

I would look at it as simply an upgrade. While he wasn't here while the current coaches, they are still interested in players from that organization since they know what to expect with the work ethic and attitude that is expected of the football team.

I wouldn't take it as an upgrade. Hartwig was a big liability last year. Never known for his pass blocking and isn't even a average run blocker according to the Pitt beat writters.

I have been underwhelmed by the lack of names on the cut list

Leinart and TJ are far and away the biggest.

as for Linebackers -- Matt Wilhelm might be the biggest name, and that tells you something

I'd love to find a vet to fill in for the season at the SAM position.

An UDFA from Miami Eric Moncur who signed with Philly was let go today. Not sure why the 6-2 250 pounder went there to a 4-3 system to be honest. I know that we did bring him in for a workout and we did try to sign him as a UDFA ourselves as well.

Not sure if we still have interest or he also might be a PS candidate if he feels he needs a different setting then Phillies PS.

1. I would love to see Worrell Williams, LB picked up if he clears waivers for the practice squad.

2. Same goes for FB Ryan D'Imperio, or FB Manase Tonga.

3. Pierre Woods was released from the Patriots, he could be a good pick up for OLB'er depth.

Sidenote: I cannot believe Chris Cooper, DE/DL is/was still in the league at 32 yrs old.

Sidenote #2: Wow, TE Cornelius Ingram done. Never came back from that knee injury ?

I wouldnt even look at the guy IMO. The guy has 1 sack in 52 games, 8 of them starts. Pats were waiting 4 years to see his athletic ability and potential finally blossom, it never did. Change of scenario and all might do him some good but I doubt it myself.
