Has anyone watched Carpenter? I know he obviously isn't worth bringing in, but what's his problem? Is he slow? Can he not shed blocks? Is he making poor reads? All or the above? Just curious.

If you are wanting a pure pass catching TE - Chase Coffman was cut, but note that he is a glorified reciever and 90% of the NFL WR's can block better then he can.

Weird too because in college he was the definition of a hard-nosed tough guy LBer. Some guys just get those big paychecks and stop putting the effort in I guess.

The Browns cut CB Brandon McDonald. He's only 25 and started 10 games last year. I like Green and Jefferson, but McDonald would be an upgrade.

I also like Jason McKie as a fullback. He would be a good option.


Carey Davis is an option as well. Especially since he has a history with the Steelers.

I would love to see Erik Cook, C/G on our practice squad as well.

I would be interested in crazy FB Owen Schmitt, who was just released by Seattle.

Edit: Now reading that he hasn't been nearly as effective as a blocker as expected. Coming out of college he was expected to be an exceptional blocker.

I also like RB Michael Robinson from San Fran. If Wright's injury is as bad as it looked Thursday night, I wouldn't mind bringing him in.

Love the McDonald signing. I'd still like to see FB Frank Summers and OLB Alex Hall brought in, although Hall might be a long shot with Obiozor now on the roster.
