I am kind of sad that D-Dogg and I will miss it for the first time in three years, but we're coaching tee ball and cant let those kids down. ;) Plus the HD DVR will be just fine on the delay as long as we can avoid anyone ruining our pick for us. ;)

Can We Go Hi Tech?

If anyone could bring a laptop with the necessary wireless or hard-wire equipment needed to go on line, it would be unbelievable if periodic reports from the Draft Party could be sent to this site via the www.

And if any of you have camera-phones or similar equipment that would allow uploading of photos of the party to the ASFN website - how cool would that be?

I'm thinking an extra USB cable and card reader could make it easy to move digital photos to the laptop for relaying stuff to here so some of us can vicariously attend the event.

Also - communication could work in both directions - just set up a Draft Party thread where both out-of-towners and party attendees could post stuff in real time and people at the party could check out the comments from out-of-towners on the laptop throughout the duration of the draft.

Easy for me to say, since I don't have to do anything - but I do think it would be extremely cool if we could pull it off.

That is an awesome idea. Wish I were going. I'd say get there early and bring a unsecured wireless router. Using the settings right out of the box would let you tap into their existing network, provided you could get a single ethernet line into the router. Also, you *may* be able to pick up a wireless lan downtown anyway. You'd be suprised how many houses/offices/etc have unsecured networks that you can chill on. Good luck! ;)
