Actually, I am happy with getting Levi. The running scheme is changing on this team with Wiz and they need a road grader type tackle. This year there is not a whole lot of sexy picks. We got someone who will fill a need and help us out. I was more concerned with the possiblity of Graves getting fancy and trading down and then getting screwed.

I am glad we got Brown. (Thomas or Brown is what I wanted....) I will enjoy watching a running game.

I guess Penn State ran a similar running style game as what the Cards will be trying to employ so it makes sense. Brown should not have been a shock to anyone.

Draft rankings are over-rated. How can you justify taking a guy who won't fit into your system, just because Mel Kiper ranks him high. Peterson would have been nice, maybe even Quinn, but i we can't protect our highly and lobg-term paid pieces to the puzzle in Leinart and James, then running into a brickwall won't do anything. We need to bolster our O-Line, nobody offered us much at #5 because they knew we were trapped and knew of our needs, so we had to take Levi.

How can you mess up a top 10 pick? Pass on a potential franchise QB for a WR when QBis your biggest need and the BPA is said QB at the time.

Touche.. Messing up a top 10 pick is passing on a franchise QB, selecting a glorified punt returner and then holding a press conference claiming that "he's a heck of a punt returner" to try and rationalize.

Oh, and by trying to make it up to your fan base by picking a QB who projects as a backup at BEST that's going to be 26 years old at the start of the season. Oh, and spending a third round pick on another HB despite the fact that they've got a kid by the name of Ronnie Brown who some say is pretty good. Brilliant draft philosophy..

Also, let me ask you this..

Would you rather have Edgerrin James running the football and Levi Brown plowing holes for him as well, while protecting Matt Leinart's blindside; or Adrian Peterson carrying the rock while Oliver Ross responible for both run and pass protection?

Anyone who says Option B is blindly and irrationally hating.

I think just about every player in college and definately the NFL could kick Mel Kiper's !$%!@%!.

Did Kiper ever play football at all?

Mel is just one voice out there who is making a buck on the NFL Draft. More power to him but he is only that.

You have to trust the people who's jobs hang in the balance. The coaches.

How can you F up a top 5 pick? by picking a guy who was not going to be picked in the top 10 who is just like leonard davis who took games off and had no heart AND we passed on the best rb to come out of college in a decade.

I want Graves head on a platter.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion, no matter how "feeble-minded".

Thanks to the LD debacle Ross is still going to be a pass and rush protector along with Brown.

Is this the official Chicken Little thread?

Seriously, this should be one of the better drafts we've had because we are addressing our needs on the OL, DL and LB corps.

This is the worst draft ever because we didn't get a backup RB with our #5 overall pick.

how can u say he wants to improve when the biggest knock on him was his heart? He took games off.

and the cardinals had the heaviest O-line in the league last year which was one of the huge reasons they couldnt pass protect becuase they couldnt handle other teams speed. So we take a huge fat O-lineman? makes no sense.

Levi Brown:

"This is the king of guy who can have a great career," an AFC scout says. "He's got the size and skill to dominate and he has shown that he will do the hard work necessary to get the job done." (Street & Smith)

(How about a few quotes from other than you to support your contention)
