I hope that Cards management makes a good-faith effort to convince Warner to return for at least next season as Leinart's back-up. One less position to worry about in the offseason.

Its going to take a good amount of work to convince him to return, because he's already stated he's thinking of retiring.

If he gets rocked by Merriman next week, I think he's going to have a hard time thinking its worth coming back. But then again, its not cheap to feed 7 kids these days!

He said after the game yesterday he was leaning towards playing again. He qualified it under "I'm not sure where and under what circumstances". He really has no choice though if we tell him he's coming back. I'd think he'd be a good soldier.
