I think we need a thread devoted to Jake and his handball dreams. He recently competed in the Simple Green US Open of Handball. Jake and his brother Eric were defeated in the first round by John Bike and Danny Bell. I always knew the tandem of Bike and Bell would be tough for the Plummers. Come on Jake, get it together.

Nobody was going to beat the team of Marcos Chavez/Vince Munoz anyway. I mean they plowed right through that tournament. They're known as the Patriots of doubles handball...

Jake Plummer...what a douche.

Shocking that you would feel that way. Jake has brought many fans the best football moments they've ever had. He certainly isn't perfect, but it's cool that he is doing what he wants to. Plus he has a sweet beard.

This isn't some ASU thing (Golden Boy Jake was 1-3 vs. Arizona), but other than the drug use what's the difference between Todd Marinovich chasing his dream of skateboarding and Joke trying out handball?

Sometimes we all have to grow up, something Plummer has yet to learn.

Dude has made a buttload of money. He shouldn't have to work another day in his life... How does he have to grow up? Why should he grow up? I hope Jake and his brother win the title next year so they can show all you nay-sayers.

Just for the record millionaires dont have to grow up. Golden Rule - Those who have the gold make the rules. Millionaires do what they want to do and the rest of us who are wage slaves envy them. Plus unless you have played QB in the NFL and taken those hits week in and week out and been criticized by guys who never played beyond high school than you are not really in the position to judge whether or not he has grown up.

Him flippin you off, not once but twice means nothing to you? I think Jake Flakes were the best name for his cereal.. He only seems to care bout himself.. And Im not the only one to think this.. azsouth will tell you, and he's a ASU fan.. So that line of thinking cant be crossed with as aWildcats fan.. I say it as a Cardinals fan.. My uncle lived in Idaho, the love for Jake is defining up there.. They see no wrong of him up there.. Its no wonder he moved back and he has no problem groping our women here and flipping off the fans that pay his checks.. Dudes a ******..

Revisionist history. The 96 Sun Devils and 98 Cardinals won in spite of Plummer, not because of him. Look at the first three quarter stats, those comebacks would not have been necessary if he even played at Rex Grossman level.

Did he become one of the top TD passers in ASU history by just showing up in the 4th? Kind of hard to suck in the first 3 quarters and throw so many TD's. You show me the first three quarter stats and prove me wrong. Also show his college stats and somehow explain how ASU won in spite of him.

Jake was an average NFL QB, but still did more for us than any other QB. He gave fans of the worst franchise in recent NFL history some rare joy. I'm a Plummer fan.

Most people ignore the fact he threw 2 to 3 INTs a game and had to make a comeback to win the game because of his own fault.. They only see the comeback.. Aw well..

You were like, SEVEN then...I hope you're not talking personal experience here, and are speaking more along the lines of "avg. Cards fan"

I was at the last game vs. the Chargers, remember watching them beat the Cowboys and later be dominated by Denny Green's team. I remember him playing, but yeah I hadn't experienced all the losing yall have so when I'm talking about that joy it goes to people who were following the Cards for a longer time, but I can't hate the only QB to take my team to the playoffs and one of two QB's to take my college team to the Rose Bowl.

Gee, how can you hate a guy that gave Denver the finger? :(

I don't like Jake because he extended his collegiate frat life for six years while being paid as a professional on my favorite NFL team. I'm a Wildcat yet I supported his drafting and his first couple years I supported him until I found out he saw his career as nothing more than a hobby to pass the time by and make some cash. He pretty much did the same thing in Denver and is just as loathed in that town.

How many times does Jake have to flip off season ticket holders, incite road rage incidents, grope co-eds, leave his wife at the altar, tell off his fans, or quit an NFL career to pursue freaking handball until people realize he's an immature flake? The guy's track record off the field speaks for itself. The only people that still support this clown are ASU fans, but I guess I understand as Wazzu fans still idolize fellow idiot Ryan Leaf.
