If Cam decides to run the 40, he's probably solely focused on that right now. Slim down and work with a sprint coach every single day. Sub 4.5 40 and he's a 3rd rounder. Would be a miracle if he can accomplish that, however.

It's funny because the combine matters and also doesn't matter. It's best intention is to confirm testing numbers for players and then see if they match tape. If a WR runs a slow 40 at the combine but looked faster on tape, a team will use that info to double check what they saw. If a player is constantly breaking off big plays in college and then runs a fast time, teams confidence in that player's speed translating against higher competition will increase. A big guy running really fast matters more than a little guy running really fast. A pass rusher with poor technique will be viewed differently if he also tests poorly.

combine schmombine - i subscribe to real game time - there are no heart or dawg tests being conducted this week - maybe the 40? sure it's valuable information but I'll take two tenths of heart over two tenths a second everyday and particularly on sunday - the game of football entails several one on one battles all happening simultaneously - there's already tons of tape on everyone in battle and that's the information i'd consider more valuable

I think it absolutely matters for position groups like EDGEs when it comes to the 3-cone lol

is nice...but that 10 yard split is my favorite , especially for the Big defensive guys
