I don't have the pressure numbers.
I do (it’s 39), but since players play different number of snaps, I will use the pressure rate percentage. Last season, Stewart’s was 9.4%. For comparison, James Pearce’s was 21.3%, Abdul Carter’s was 18.5%, and Donovan Ezeiruaku’s was 18.2%. I would be highly excited if Stewart ended up with the Cards, but there is no way to hide the fact that he is mostly about traits at this point.

Has there been a first round player that unproductive in college but turned it around in the NFL?

Agreed. They had Garrett side by side as an athletic comparison for Stewart.
But the production...

And that's why Stewart won't go 1 overall. lol. Like I said, Odafe Oweh is an example of a player with zero sacks his last year in college and was able to get 10 sacks in 2024.

Good info. I have very little notion of where many of these prospects are supposed to go. I am generally leery of non-productive college players, because 9 times out of 10 they become non-productive NFL players. If he was already projected for the first round, then that's fine. You watch, though; he'll suddenly go top 10.
Maybe. Just depends where he falls on the EDGE board. If a team like the Jets prefer large EDGE players, they probably value Mykel Williams and Shemar Stewart over MIke Green and Jalon Walker. If Stewart's combine performance elevates him over Williams because Williams didn't do much, does it really matter if they pick 7?

Dude like that is tempting. If he has instincts and closing speed he will have a long illustrious career... great stats for his size.

Thinking on him and Rabbit as the safety tandem of the future....
