I know it's WAY early to make this call, but I'd love to see a legit competition between Palko and BSP for the #3 spot. Give Warner a couple of series in each game, give Leinart a quarter and a half and let the second half be all about finding our #3 (soon to be #2 when Warner departs).

JMHO

I have been thinking the same thing while reading this thread. It will tell a lot more about Whiz, St. has been his guy, but he always preaches competition, so what happens next. If BSP has a good showing this week, I don't think Palko has much of a chance, but if BSP looks bad again we might see what you are suggesting, Pariah. I would love see that the last two preseason games.

We should pick a time/triggering event to start a Palko chant on saturday. First BSP incompletion works for me.

for me it is simple, it is freaking preseason which means that most QBs will not see any exotic blitzes and most are not given away by teams till the season starts. This is about as vanilla one can get so I do not buy it is the scheme of a defense in preseason. IMHO, St. Pierre does not belong on a team which cannot win with just a game manager under center, we live and die by the pass whether we like it or not and it seems that our starter by far is Warner, Leinart second as the future QB of the team and then Palko. Pierre just could not produce wins with this offense, I know he is smart and I do not doubt the coaches who appreciate him and it is this aspect which keeps him in the league but just hire another freaking coach for the QBs than wasting time on him. It would nice to have a young QB as the third with hopes for the future than a caretaker at third string
