He was on the last one, made it to the final three.

In an interview after the show was over, he told Howard Stern that he is a die-hard Survivor fan, and didn't care about the money...he just wanted to play the game. Even if there weren't camera's and all that, he just wanted to play it.

I'm the same way...would be fun to somehow play a game like that. I'm trying to look into starting an office version of it for the peeps at work.

I am looking forward to this as well - if they do it right. I just don't want to see them do an exact replica of Survivor - that might get too predicible.

Supposedly, Rich, Rudy, Susan (from SI) and Ethan (S2) are in.

Some I'd like to see...

Rich, Rudy, Elisabeth, Roger, Colby, Rob from the last one, Susan, Ethan, maybe that big hick from Africa - Tom, Susan for sho...what about Robb from Thailand (the annoying, immature loud guy who cried by the campfire)...Rob from Marquesas...Kelly...Colleen...who knows.

I loved that girl (Elisabeth). I wouldn't mind seeing Jerri Manthey again. I don't know why, but she always floated my boat!

Wow, this season is going to be awesome. I loved it all, it seems so much tougher than any season before.

Tina going was okay with me, she wasn't really one of my favorites to begin with.

But I love the 3 tribes, and all the characters back.

It's just going to be a great season.

superbowl was good, but survivor might have been better (did i just write that?). the worst part for me about survivor is the first few weeks when you don't know the players, and that's what makes this one so great, they all have a history, both to the viewers and the other players.

i'm fired up.........

I love the set up - no food, no fire - great!

Sorry to see Tina go early, but heh, can't feel sorry for a former winner.

Once again, Richard Hatch is proving he owns the show! :)

OK, again with my pet peeve, and correct me if I'm wrong. At least twice before someone has started fire by using their eyeglasses as a magnifying glass. Kathy has glasses, why haven't they tried this? Richard keeps saying he can start a fire anytime he wants, I'm not clear why he seems to think being fat gives him an advantage in terms of dehydrating, I don't think it does. The advantage he's getting is by not working, he's not expending any energy and thus losing less water in sweat. I do think first challenge they lose, he's on the block.

You could see the vote coming easily, it was pretty clear it was going to be Jenna(because she spoke out) and an ex winner, and since they need Ethan's strength, Tina was obvious.

To be honest so far it appears that both Richard and Sue have the same strategy, I'm not going to win, I just want to be controversial enough that after I'm voted off I can get back on the talk show circuit for awhile and make some money off this.

So far I like it. Ethan clearly figured out right away winners were targets which is why he started in with the idea of how smart it would be to take a former winner to the final 2 so you'd win the vote.

FWIW former winner Vecepia lives in the bay area and was on local news last night. She wasn't invited to this show and said it was fine with her, she was considered too "boring" for the all star show and said she felt they may have had an issue with her being outspoken about being religious. She also said the biggest single problem she had on the show she was on was the constant farting from the men in her tribe! She said it got to be so bad that the women were actually plotting to vote them out because of it. IIRC this was the same tribe that had a problem with people peeing in the front of their camp so that it stunk up the area they slept in.

Looks like another great run of the show.

I heard that of all the people invited to come back only two said no.

I'm surprised the guy who fell into the fire (Mike?) isn't here. Maybe he turned it down. He got hurt right before that season's merge but otherwise was a very tough and popular player.

The 2 who said no were Elizabeth(the hottie) and Colleen(first year). Elizabeth had just signed on for the View on daytime tv, colleen said she just didn't want to suffer like that again.

Mike would have been on my list too, I think he likely would have won if not for that. ANother guy would have been Hunter(?) who basically got voted out because he told the lazy people they were lazy.

Maybe they should have a Survivor made up of all the people voted off first or second. We never even got to know most of them. :D

Especially the ones in the group with Rich - DUH...if you watched the first season, you'd remember that the guy knows how to make fire (not a ****** joke :D ).

Richard is too smug. He thinks he is such an enigma.

He isn't. He is a dork.

Man that Jenna is a ****** I hope they get rid of her bossy ass tonight. If saboga would have fliped the boat right they would have easily won.
Are all these challenges hard or what?

I couldn't believe Saboga. They pulled out every single weight rather than some and then flip the boat...and then they were bailing rather than flipping the boat once it was no longer underwater.

But to be honest Probst's instructions were to take the boat back to the base and bail out the water, so maybe they assumed you couldn't just flip it over...

Jenna is a ******. I feel bad for Rudy. What a tropper that guy is! I am happy that they didn't vote Ethan out because he really is nice to look at. :)

I can't stand Jenna.

In my best White Trash Voice : "you guys better be gonna listen to me, I was on the original Survivor, so I know what I'm doing. It was also the first Survivor." She shouldn't be wearing that skimpy of a bikini either.

My wife is pissed. She wants Cody to run around buck nekkid, not Hairy Hatch. She hopes Cody wins. She said he is so hot that that's why all the others are complaining about the heat. :)

I'm like, "Cody? Cody? Uh, like, ...did you happen to see the cans on Amber!? Now that's what I'm talkin' about!":p :talk:

Hey jkf, I think your wife and I would get along just fine. Colby. Yum! And he seems like a nice guy, too! Remember when he was on Survivor and he took Tina with him to the final two because he thought she was more deserving than that other guy, even though he knew he could beat him? That's pretty cool. Perhaps stupid, but cool.

Colby. Oh yeah.
