Is anyone else really tired of Duke? They make me sick.

Yeah. I think it's more of listening to the announcers gush about them all the time. That said, Reddick would be nice on the suns:)

Wichita State Beats #2 Tennessee! My Bracket looks bad, but I like the upsets!

Whoo-hoo!!! :thewave:

Oh I didn't think I would ever see this day again. It's been since I was 11 years old way back in 1981 when the Shockers won anything in the NCAA Tourney. They made the Elite 8 that year by beating Kansas in the Sweet 16, but then ultimately losing to LSU in the Superdome in front of the largest crowd (over 40,000) to ever see a NCAA basketball game at that time. Now if my AZ Cardinals could make the playoffs this year!!! Whoo-hoo!!! :)

No way Northwestern ST beats WVU.....

edit: 41-19 at the half

edit2; 67-54 final and WVU shot a miserable 29% from 3pt land...defense baby!

Wow.. UNC goes DOWN to George Mason..

Honestly, who really could have predicted a Sweet 16 matchup of George Mason-Wichita State??

Damn! The Cats played Villanova tough today. Great effort.

Overall, a disappointing season, but they kept the streaks of consecutive 20-win seasons (19) and NCAA tournaments (22) alive and acquitted themselves well in the tourney so it wasn't all bad.

You know what's a trip about this one?
These two teams actually hooked up in Wichita about a month ago in part of ESPN's "Bracket Buster Weekend". GMU won the game 70-67 in a tough road environment. They are VERY GOOD! I watched that game of course and predicted both teams would be very tough come March Madness. It was pretty apparent both were well coached sound teams.

Trust me, as a Shocker fan...I would've rather played Roy Williams North Carolina team next week. GMU is scary good and since both teams are "familiar" with each other...look for a low scoring defensive struggle. GMU will be playing basically a home game as the game is in Washington DC.

Btw...The Shockers were Pre-season picked 5th in the MVC polls after graduating 3 starters and losing one other starter to a transfer. This season the Shockers start 3 Sophmores and only graduate one player. Look for the Missouri Valley to be just as good next year. Creighton will be LOADED with talent as well with WSU. Both Creighton and Missouri St. should've been in this years NCAA Tourney. Bradley has a couple NBA'ers on its squad so they might be in rebuild mode.

NOTE: Wichita St. signed Graham Hatch out of Mesa last year. He will be joining the Shockers after next season when he completes his mormon mission. I didn't get to see him play here in AZ...anybody know of him?

UA sure hasn't gotten any favors from the selection committee recently. #1 seed Illinois in Chicago last year and then #1 seed Villanova in Philly this year.
