Since this is now out of the bag I guess it's okay to report that the Cards have been intensively scouting in Canada this year. You may recall I touted a DE earlier. You saw the Cards sign a pass rusher. Now they're scheduled to meet with CB Elie Bouka. He was considered by most a likely UDFA selection before he tore his Achilles. Since then he's fallen from the view of most. He's big 6'1" and weighs about 205. He's also fast, being timed at 4.41 at the CFL version of the combine. He played in the Canadian East-West game, becoming the leading tackler. I'm told the Cards got their info from a CFL scout who was at both events. My info path was similar. His major drawback is a history of injuries. He also has limited CB experience just converting to defense in 2013. Keep in mind all Canadian prospects are typically rough, so he would be a project. Still he could be a day 3 value. My guys tell me he's very coachable and would willing play special teams and serve as a gunner. I like what I'm hearing.

Harry, is this guy is a FA? Got a little confused when you said he could be a day 3 value.

He would be drafted or if not taken a UDFA. He was on the University of Calgary roster in 2015. He will not seek an extra year of eligibility. Their season starts shortly before the US season and typically ends in November.
