I am suffering from withdrawl symptoms from no Cardinals games.

When is the draft? March? April?

Can't Denny cut somebody or something so I have something to read?

The playoffs are cool, but when your team isn't in it, it really doesn't matter.

I don't know if I can wait another 3 or 4 months for some more Cardinals news.

Okay, I need help. Step one is admitting you have a problem.

The Suns are cool. I've gone to a couple of games with my family. But, to be honest, I am a fair weather BASKETBALL fan.

Steve Nash is a true point guard, more interested in getting everyone on the team involved in the game instead of worried about his own stats. The Suns are playing the type of basketball I love.

But, I will stop following them the second they start to suck like they did last year. I just wont follow a bad baseball or basketball team. I don't see that happening any time soon with the Suns, but I won't put up with poor fundamentals and the egos and selfishness I see on other teams.

The same with the Diamondbacks. I went to their games because I knew I was watching something special when Randy or Curt pitched. But I just don’t have the patience for a bad baseball team.

I am a die hard CARDS fan and have suffered through many crappy seasons to prove it. I can't help it if I'm am an addict. I follow them when they do stupid things and when they actually win a game, it feels like they won the Super Bowl!!

I am more optimistic about the CARDS future than ever before. Draft a stud running back and get a couple of top notch guards in FA and this team will win.

The league office discourages big changes during the playoffs, preferring media attention focused on the games.

After the Super Bowl, the Cards will undoubtedly announce some cuts, then things will be quiet all of February. In March free agency signings will pick up but I don't think we'll have any huge signings, just second tier things.

February and May and June are the doldrum months.

I'm with ya', cardsmasochist. I hate this time of year - watching other teams in the playoffs, waiting for free agency, the draft, and next season's schedule to come out so I can plan my trips.

Of course, if I was watching the Cardinals in the playoffs, it wouldn't be nearly as bad!

February isnt a doldrum month, far from it.

Feb. 23-Mar. 1, 2005 is the Scouting Combine, Indianapolis, IN

Also some time in Feb. these things will happen but I cant find the exact dates yet.

1. NFL Europe League's NFL Allocated Player Draft(beginning of month)
2. NFL Europe League training camps open.(end of month)

Dont laugh at the NFLE stuff we are going to have a lot of players over there.

3. Deadline for clubs to designate franchise and transition players.(usually at the end of the month.

And here are the important dates in March:

March 2, 2005 - Veteran free agency signing period begins.

March 2, 2005 - Trading period begins.

March 2, 2005 - Deadline for submission of qualifying offers by clubs to their restricted free agents whose contracts have expired and to whom they desire to retain a right of first refusal/compensation.

March 2, 2005 - Deadline for clubs to submit offer of minimum salary to retain exclusive negotiating rights to their players with fewer than three seasons of free agency credit whose contracts have expired (so-called "exclusive rights" free agents).

Mar. 20-23, 2005 - NFL Annual Meetings, Maui, HI - Where a lot of the deals get worked out.

Sundevils suck? I thought they'd only lost 3 games this year?

I spend this off time digging into the mock drafts. That isn't that exciting this early either but will get more interesting after the Senior bowls and approaching the combine.

Anyone watch arena football? I've gone to a few games, pretty fast paced. By no means takes the place of the regular NFL games but it helps a litte.
