I have said that i think the Cards biggest need on OL is to bring in a grizzled, veteran C that has a history of winning and playing on good lines to kick this OL into gear and be their leader. Even if it's just aguy for a year or two. Let these guys know what it takes to be a good unit. A guy like Jeff Hartings comes to mind.

You have to wonder why not.

We are all tired of talking about this line, we are in year.... I lost count of rebuilding it, it's been putrid for a decade almost.

You'd think someone would pick up on this and actually fix it but we are still waiting and suffering for it.

Cards could possibly have made the same deal for Hank Fraley, who fit those requirements,that Cleveland made.

Fraley is a liability in the run game, not an asset. Mawae does it all at a very high level.

I was a real supporter of upgrading the center position this off season and Mawae would have made a huge impact on this line ... he is a rock in the middle ...

How would anyone know if Fraley is a liability in the run game? The Eagles never ran the ball.

I'd take a guy who has played in 5 NFC Championship games to help anchor this pathetic line any day.

The Eagles couldn't run the ball last year even when they tried. Reid doesn't pound his RB's into a solid wall like some teams (Cards) do. They extended a couple of Olineman this season but demoted Fraley and then traded him. The Browns were desperate for a C since Bentley sp? went down in TC and they had already traded their back up (Faine) to the Saints.

Fraley would be an upgrade over Step and probably Lecky but he is not in the same league as Mawae.

Have you ever watched Fraley run, he looks like a bowl of jello with his chest and belly bouncing all over the place.

The Eagles are running the ball much better this year and the main change was an ugrade at C.

Of course I never said that Fraley was better than Mawae just that Hank fit the bill of a veteran who had played several years on a winning team.

As for the Eagles they were at the bottom of the league in rush attempts per game in 2004 and 2005.
