Old AOL BOard

Who here used to post to an old AOL message board that was basically a broken link that no one could access. Last I saw it was about 4 years ago. Any1 still in it? Skorp I think you used to be there.

If you're referring to the old AOL "Cards Corner", it's gone.

The Card's Corner link at AOL was one of the first great places where Cardinal fans could get together to talk Cardinal football.

I got to met a few of the original posters there and ASFN is home for many of us now.

One guy

There was one guy I used to argue with all the time, he was my NEM. lol had some sportsnet in his name or some website he was making/running

Skkorp, John Holt and Bill P (Wildfire), SunCity Carl, GarthShort, DBaker and Timmy P (AZCardswin) were regulars on that board. Zeno has posted on ASFN within the last 2 weeks. And I just got an e-mail from CC regular BosnsPipe (aka Tumbleweed) who is sending me minicamp photos to post on the BRS.

The guys I've lost track of include: NAZDrew (who decided to become a Saints fan) and Reino (who, out of frustration, bolted the Cards for the Rams). There were a couple of other guys from Philly and South Jersey who defected to the Cards when Buddy came here, but have since either disappeared or changed their handle. What was the name of the female Latino Cards Corner administrator (who used to begin each e-mail message with "Hola!" She moved to Florida but not out of our hearts).

The only bb easier to post on than the old CC board is this one.

Im from philly but always been a cards fan cant believe some of those guys switched teams especially rheino. oh well, that was a fun board lots of memories....when the internet was young and everything was free lol

oh wow sulla yes I do remember!!! He did leave before I did I think, but he used to think tony banks was God, but he did have the last laugh. The rams won a superbowl lol Thank God I wasnt there to hear it if he came back for that.

NetSport was Scott Brady - who wrote the Cardinal stuff for CBSportsline for a year or so.

He was an OK guy. The one pilgrimige I made to the Valley (for the Cardinal upset of the Felons), a bunch of us got together for dinner the night before. Scott foot the bill for a bunch of Cardinal bb hats which we all passed around and autographed so we could take home a memento. (True, Scotty could get testy from time to time - but don't we all?)

Sulla was a different breed of cat - definitely a poster boy for the Forces of Evil.

I'm here SWD, just don't post as much as I used to on Cards Corner. I guess I'm much busier now(unfortunately).

Hard to believe some of us have been posting about the Cardinals since like 1996(at least thats when I started on CC).

Still with Customs K9. The job's cool the location sucks. Douglas is a hell hole with no redeeming qualities. Hopefully I can transfer before too long to an actual city otherwise I will be transfering agencies...my timer is set at 2 years.

I'm actually married to a girl I met when I went to the Customs school...we'll have been married 2 years in July.

FJM (Frank Main) is here too, although he's gotten a little more testy in his advancing years.

Remember DaveB? DaveB knows where we are but he's so busy he doesn't have time to post these days.

Pdonaldo is here as coyotecard although he's moved from Mesa back to Minnesota.

There are others too, who visit mainly during football season. Once a Cards fan, always a Cards fan. It's an addiction. Even Reino, back in St. Loius, still checks in with me by e-mail from time to time.

This place is as good & better than the old aol board, though I miss a liittle of the antagonizing (Sp?) from Reino (Rams Fan) SBNetsport (Scotty) & such. Zeno it's good to see you again!! That 1997 win over the Felons & the dinner the night before is one of my fondest memories as I found Cardinal fans that "wanted" to be Cardinals Fans! It is a disease ya know....

Thanks for reminding me of the hat. I went and dug it out of my pile of Cardinal stuff, put it on, and had some great memories of that day and the BIG win over the felons.

I'll probably proudly wear it to the game here in Dallas, when the Cards and E. Smith beat the felons on Oct. 5th
