I was channel surfing between the 2 of ARizona college hoops and the Bowling Green game in football last night. I am now firmly on board the Omar Jacobs is HIGHLY overrated wagon. They never throw downfield and most of his passes are like a guy throwing a lob pass to LeBron James. His numbers were great 3 TD's 315 yards, no picks, but I just don't buy this guy as an NFL prospect.

Was also not impressed with him. Didn't like his throwing motion and he seemed very stiff in the pocket.

How about the kid from Fresno State. He would have beaten the mighty Trojans had someone shot Reggie.

Take a look at Drew Olsen (UCLA) and Jay Cutler(Vanderbilt). Both are much better prospects than Jacobs. I think Vandy is done for the year but Olsen And UCLA face USC in their season finale. Cutler is a senior and a solid second rounder while Olsen is only a junior and might come back for his senior year.

I agree.I've been saying that every time someone brings his name up.His predecessor was very similar in style and performance and he is a practice squad player or 3rd stringer in Cleveland,i believe.

Between the let down from the preseason hype and missing a couple of games, I don't see him coming out this year.

I do like Jay Cutler, and what he's been able to do with Vandy this year. He's been able to do alot with very little and exceeded all expectations this year.

I also like Brady Quinn and what he's done under Weis' teaching. The kid just makes it look easy back in the pocket.

Don't like Drew Olson although he's a tough kid, tore his ACL and MCL in the bowl game last year and had surgery in January and still held off Ben Olson for the QB job this year. He's a senior though.

He's a good kid but he really struggled his first 2 years and his junior year was only so so. When a kid goes from 20 TD 13 picks to 30 TD 3 picks in one year I tend to wonder did he suddenly figure it out, or is he having a fluke year?

I think the knee will keep him from going before say late round 3.

I agree his numbers and ability to read the field leave a lot to be desired. That's worrysome at the college level. That said I can see why people are intrested in him. He throws a very hard ball if he wants. If he can really get to understand a little more about the "little things" involved in his position he could be good...
and from now till the combine the kids are rated on potential as much results.
