....and SF beat STL, so we're in 2nd as of right now. We absolutely MUST beat STL, but they're gonna be hungry coming off a loss (as we should be)....

The Rams have looked pretty bad. If we win at home next week, we're 2-1!

Alex Smith torched them, he had a 72 yarder to Antonio Bryant and Davis dropped one in the endzone in the first half

I would hope we torch them.

I'm not as upset about this loss as others are. I honestly didn't expect to win this game, but am encouraged with the adjustments made after the 1st Quarter. Screw Adam Bergen for fumbling away our chances.

Yes the line sucks, we can't win this division unless somebody steps up. Jugggling the line like this doesn't bode well for consistancy

Agreed, I picked the Hawks 23-10, so I'm not surprised but still disappointed, especially with that fumble.

...if you don't yet have tickets to the Rams' game - this performance likely just made them more affordable from the scalpers. :D

Dennis Green better give Adam Bergen the David Macklin treatment for next week.

I was disapointed in the loss today, but even more disapointed with someof the posters on this board. Calling for Greens job and saying we'll only win 4 games after a 11 point loss to the runner up in last years super bowl is just ludicrious. As a Cards fan I felt frustrated with situations in the game today, however I wouldn't trade this team for any since I became a Cards fan with their arrival in the valley in '88. We got waxed last year by the Hawks and @ least this year we were a little more competitive. Our defense was better today, Dockett came alive, Dansby returned from injury and showed flashes, and we're 1-1, big deal. I'm not ready to pull the plug on the season yet. Go Cards!!!!!

This was our toughest road game of the year and I'm glad it came in week 2 and not when we are on the playoff bubble later in the year.

Many of us are Cards' fans in spite of Dennis Green so it's to be expected.

Yep.

Now, next Sunday against the Rams, that is a BIG game.

The Valley so low.
Maybe this is what they call 'parity'. Everybody stinks. We have ridiculous OL, DBs, Green can draft and not much else, yet we if we changed maybe 3 offensive plays, we could've beaten last year's NFC champs. The Hawks could've run away w/ the game, but weren't all that far from being 0-2 against far-from-stellar opponents. It gives me hope, but I hate to watch that brand of football--can't root for a comeback if the first half of the game was total dreck.

Kinda, sorta...He played better but he got manhandled and 2-3 of his tackles were ont he other side of the field, 10 yards down the field. Still think Moore played better. Got consistent push and made a couple of great tackles.

Dockett had a great game. He was hardly manhandled. Had a sack and a great play on Alexander that almost resulted in a safety. He has not played well but he has to be given his due for this game. He never stopped hustling today.

If we lose against the Rams, THEN I will be one angry chap. I did not expect to win this game and we didn't. So par the course for me.

But STL is not as good. Their defense has improved, but their offense is struggling to find the endzone under a new offensive scheme. We should be able to rock these guys in our house.

On the bright side

I live in Arizona and winter is approaching.

I wasn't out there getting hit like Warner.

I don't have to listen to Green after this game.

I still get to watch all the games on my 1080p HD big screen tv in surround sound.

I'll be at the Broncos game in the high dollar seats courtesy of the company I work for.

We still have the best NFL stadium in the country.

We still have quality players like Boldin, Fitz, Warner, Edge Leinart, Berry and so on.

When counting how many scores we are down I no longer feel the need to count only by threes.
