Cards upped the offer to 14-15 million to Matt.

Also they showed Reggie Wells and Milford Brown getting into a fight with Gabe Watson. The both of them couldn't knock him over. Said practice was called off after that. Good for Watson, and good for our Oline showing some fight.

I read in FanBoy's blog that a different practice ended after a different fight between Bergen and Hayes. I don't know if this is good for the team. I've never played football, but do fights come naturally this often in TC?

They just fight in camp because the don't have another team to beat on.

Fanboy's blog said that Hayes actually slapped Bergen in the face. WTF?

Yes. Very common. At least it's nothing like the Westbrook/Davis mess years back in Skins camp.

Not he didn't write that. Hayes had a nice hit on Bergen, which was one of the plays of the days. The fight was a seperate incident.

MIKE linebacker, Gerald Hayes, coming back from injury looks spry and hungry. He makes a textbook downhill pursuit and lays a hit on TE Adam Bergen. The only real hit of the day, the form was spot on.

Another tussle between lines ended practice. These guys are ready to hit and it shows.

it is time to play the game. get leinart into camp and let see how the cardinals match up with the steelers first team. unfortunally i am going to be at work when this game comes on. the down side of working weekend options. i work 2 doubles on friday and saturday and get paid for 40 hours. then i have the rest of the week off. that is the plus side of weekend options. hopefully nfl network will replay that game sometime during the week.

Don't you get the feeling that various writers are pulling most of these numbers out of their butts?

Occasional fights are a part of training camp. But usually they take place a little later in the process when players are beginning to get sick of battling one another. This training camp is supposed to be easier and only half the duration is in Flag. So it seems a bit early for scuffles to break out.

What I do like is that Watson had the cojones to go up against 2 veterans and that they couldn't get the best of him. I also like that our O-line is showing some of the so-called "mean streak" and attack attitude we're going to need to effectively run the ball.

Yep, I believe both D and O lines have a meanstreak to them now. When two nasty lines go head to head there is bound to be trouble.

I like it!!!

He must have changed the wording, because the word "slapped" was definately used when I read the blog.

It seems like the Lienart thing is gonna get done very soon...

Maybe they should send Watson over to strongarm him into signing.

He could just stand outside of Leinart's window...staring. Watson could even beat up Nick Lachey, if that would send the right message.

Don't forget a positive that came from a negative, last year's multiple injuries, and that we won't see until they play somebody else. We've got a number of depth players who saw significant playing time last year. Guys with some actual NFL talent as opposed to the stiffs that were 2nd string in years past and when they WERE called on had taken few if any snaps.
