I must say one more time before the draft that if this guy is on the board and we don't pick him, it will be a huge mistake.

We have so many holes to fill, we are not knocking on the door in the NFC. Start with something that we can build around.

Use the rest of the draft for the defense and look for additional D-Line help after June 1.

It has been said so many times and for that I appologize.

Don't apologize, and don't make it the last time!!!! The summer's too hot and too long to not take advantage of every last drop of draft debate!

Leftwich might not even be there at #6, and the whole thing might then be moot. But if we do draft defense, I hope it's Robertson, Newman, or Trufant if we're staying at #6.
Unless we trade down, Suggs is nowhere near my radar screen.

Maybe I watched games last year that the rest of you did not, but our biggest need is a pass rush. If you want to be 0-16 then draft Leftwich (who I do think is the best QB in the draft) but if want a shot at the playoffs then draft Suggs and fill our biggest problem from last year. Blake is a decent QB and should have three years as our starter. If we had been able to get Colvin then maybe we would draft a QB.

I agree. Aside from the fact that Graves has flat out said that we will not pick Leftwich (although I guess he could be lying), this team has been out-sacked by Michael Strahan over the last two years. We need a pass-rush, period. Whether that's from Suggs or some other draft pick, I don't know, but I don't think we can afford the luxury of a QB who will just sit behind Blake for the immediate future anyway.

Leftwich is tempting. But, we need a pass rush. I don't know if I can bear under another season of watching all our current DL Stiffs get stood up and run in place as the opposing QB picks us apart like a vulture on a fresh kill.

Whether it comes from the outside or the inside I do not care. I am in the Suggs camp but it might be wise to take a DT that can pressure inside and pick up a RDE in rd2 to add to the pressure. Move KVB to LDE and also use Thompson and/or Levar to blitz.

We have got to create chaos in the opponents backfield.

We go DT/DE with our first two picks. WR with the third.

That is how I hope it turns out.

Can not wait till this weekend. My wife is already dreading it.

heeeee

:D :D :D :D :D

It's in the shop.
I've been using tin cans and string for weeks now.
Hence my McGahee, then Suggs, then Boller, then Leftwich, then Newman, then Robertson, then Leftwich, then Robertson, then trade down, then Leftwich trade suggestions.

I do not see us near the playoff next year no matter who we draft so I go with Leftwich in hopes of a playoff two years from now. There is no one player that makes us a playoff contender. Certainly a good DL helps us immediately but not enough to send us to the playoffs.
