First off I don't know what "tirade" you're refering to. As I entitled this thread "one man's opinion" I think I stated it as clearly as I intended. At the risk of being blunt, your post is just plain silly. If you're saying that the Cardinals were so intent on trading down, whether or not the players they wanted would be available, you've proved my point in spades.

To say that they were the ones who wanted the deal, and that the Saints merely accomodated them and picked their pocket for the priviledge, makes the front office out to be baffoons. To say we were in a "weaker" position while we held a pick which presumably would garner one of the few impact players in the draft defies logic. If what you say is true this team is in worse shape then I could have imagined. To accept your version of events is to believe they just wanted to trade down come what may and even I don't think that was the case.

I reiterate what I stated. They blew the trade and no comparison with other teams will change that fact. IN MY OPINION that is.

Wasn't there a thread that got erased this morning?

It sure had lots of name callin about ***** and pompous arses....it's no where to be found......sounded like somebody was on a tirade.

Well, for starters, here's a couple:

AND IF YOU KNEW A DAMN THING ABOUT FOOTBALL, WHICH YOU DON'T, YOU'D UNDERSTAND THAT TEAMS USUALLY END UP WITH MORE PICKS THAN THEY TRADED WHEN THEY MOVE DOWN. -- April 28th, 2003 10:26 AM

Hey AJ, I had to make this post ambiguous because I promised Skkorp I would stop calling out the Utter Moron Who Shall Remain Nameless and is of course talking out his puckered hole about what an awesome pick Pace was.--April 27th, 2003 08:42 PM.

There were others, whether they have been erased or not, I have no idea, it's really not even worth the effort to try to look. It was the first one in particular that I was referring to.

So say you, but again....you ARE entitled to your opinion. Never said that, nor do I think I even implied it. So much for your "spades"

Again, you seem to be putting words in my mouth that I really didn't say. I let my posts stand for themselves. If you want to re-read them go ahead, if not....Que Sera Sera
