Perhaps a hint at the opening night starting five.

Forward T.J. Warren (back contusion) was a full participant in the practice open to the media Monday. More interestingly, Warren was on a team that included Eric Bledsoe, Devin Booker, Josh Jackson and Tyson Chandler.

Watson, who does not comment on lineups, was asked if anything should be read into the fact Warren and Jackson were playing together on what appeared to be the Suns' first unit.

“No,” Watson said with a smile. “It's practice.”

If Watson started these five players Chriss would be coming off the bench and perhaps Warren would be the PF (?)

This is the lineup Gambo mentioned today.

I like the starting lineup of Eric Bledsoe, Devin Booker, Josh Jackson, TJ Warren and Tyson Chandler as well.

I do wonder how Chriss handles coming off the bench.

Some bookkeeping.

The Suns exercised their team options on Booker, Chriss and Dragan Bender for the 2018-19 season.

The decision to pick up the options was a formality. Next summer, however, Booker will be eligible for an extension that would begin in the 2019-20 season. Booker, who led the Suns in scoring with 22.1 points per game last season, acknowledged that talk of an extension is “out there.” He could receive a five-year deal worth $156 million.

Managing General Partner Robert Sarver said, he “would love to be in a position” to give Booker a lengthy extension, and Booker said he's willing to sign a deal if offered.

In regard to the NAZ Suns, they get the first pick in Saturday's G-League draft by giving up rights to Zack Andrews, Elijah Millsap and Michael Bryson.
