That music was electrical in energy. I came to associate it with NBA basketball. IMO, it should have never gone away.

There used to be a video on youtube of the starting lineups and video intro to the 93 finals but it got removed :(.

Game 7 vs Sonics intro. I get a stupid grin everytime I see stuff from that team. And I reeeeeeeeeally wish Jeff Mund were still the PA announcer, he was the best.

And now he is buried as the pre- and post-game D'backs radio announcer, and backup to the Guv'nor when he has a day off or moves to TV.

Jeff Munn is the incarnation of Vin Scully, with an amazing amount of baseball trivia knowledge. He deserves to be a full-time announcer.

Agreed, and I really like the Gubnah. I would love if Munn could either do color with the Gub, or dump Darren, promote the Gub to daily TV and give Munn the everyday radio gig.

Even though Greg Schulte has a long history in Phoenix and is a nice guy (as well as a cancer survivor), the TV play-by-play has to be either smooth sounding (like Vinnie), or an outrageous entertainer (like Sutton).

The Guv'nor is neither. With Vin Scully retiring one of these years, the West could use the smooth Jeff Munn carrying the torch. I just don't think it is going to happen.

Fox is the TV network and Sutton and Grace are the opinionated crew-cutted Religious Right that Fox craves.
