I'm usually good at coming up with a rationale to maintain hope each week, but I can't really think of a good reason ASU will even stay within 10 points of Oregon. ASU had a decent defense last year and Oregon rung up 40+ on them. I know ASU installed a 30 nickel look just for the Ducks, but since they've used it all of six plays that I can tell this season, I'm not counting on that look being very successful ... and it it leaves them very susceptible to that option dive the Ducks love so much with LaMichael Punchalot.

This is the one game I figured would be unwinnable this season, and I haven't seen anything so far that would change my opinion. I think ASU could make it respectable but I have almost no hope of a win.

With ASUs speed at linebacker Im hoping they can at least keep it respectable. I expect to see a lot of only 3 down lineman looks like you mentioned. Normally you'd want your offense to grind it out, take the air out of the ball and keep Oregon off the field. Unfortunately I don't think this ASU offense can do that, nor is it designed to.

Everything ASU does, Oregon does better. I imagine we'll see a lot of quick 3 and outs by the Devils, followed by quick scores by the Ducks, it could get ugly. At least its at home so maybe thats something...? Meh, doubtful.

Oregon: 42 ASU: 24

Stranger things have happened... I don't expect to win this one at all, but it would be a huge victory to bring the fan base back. The close loss this past weekend has seemed to bring some of the students closer to the program and now we just need a big win. It's unlikely, but I have hope.
