Sort of, essentially back in May they exercised the rollover option in his contract so he's now under contract through 2010 instead of 09. AD Moos announced this wednesday and gave Kent a vote of confidence. Said he's having personal problems but has done nothing wrong and said they fully support him. Kent agreed to speak via teleconference with 2 oregon reporters to address all the rumors, and then promptly called in yesterday and cancelled saying he'd let his press release stand on its own.

The Oregonian(local newspaper) had filed a public information request in May with the University to get a copy of Kent's phone and hotel documents but the University has denied the request saying they've already looked and found no improprieties. Of course the Oregonian isn't really trying to prove Kent used University money to make private calls or rent hotel rooms, they're trying to verify the rumors that it was those records that got Kent's affair exposed.

Pretty interesting, Moos said the allegations and rumors come from people trying to pull down Kent because he's getting players they wanted, I guess a loosely worded jab at Kansas and UCLA since many of the rumors were first posted on a Kansas board and then UCLA boards in relation to Malik Hairston who chose Oregon over Kansas and UCLA last year.

I'm still hearing Nike and Phil Knight are furious, we'll see how Kent can recruit if he can't borrow the private jet to fly in his prized out of state targets.

So everything I've heard says Kent will coach out the year.
