Watched it all. Wonderful game. Young, inexperienced QBs make mistakes. Quit whining Russ. It's the nature of the beast.

It was a dumb play that cost his team dearly. I do feel for the kid and he sure showed off his arm before that. I've read since they signed him he has an arm comparable to Bollers, first chance to see it.

I knew Cal's defense wasn't NC caliber been saying it all year but I would have rather seen them not lose in such a dumb way.

Yeah but you're forgetting Cal did NOT score on that series because of the goalline stand. If Forsett was ruled in on the first play Cal would have scored about 4 minutes earlier to take the lead.

In the end Cal had their chance to tie or win it and blew it.

I am amazed they're ranked behind Oregon now though, they beat them at Oregon.

Maybe because Cal held off Oregon on a freak play and got beaten by an unranked 2nd tier Pac 10 opponent. BCS formula doesn't like that

The BCS also doesn't like losing a home game which is what oregon did against Cal didn't they?

Oregon lost before Cal did. Switch the order, and Cal is ahead.

True.

I should have known Cal was in trouble when Forsett broke free on the first play from scrimmage and got ran down EASILY by a guy who's either an inside LB or a SS. He's a tough little runner but boy was I surprised at how slow he was on that play.
