Which is why it puzzles me what he said. Skelton played better than Orton that game, he's a better player, I don't want him...
Fuzzy logic.

I would still take Palmer. I think it's a classic change of scenery type of situation. A guy can only take so much of Chad Johnson and now Owens. According to Owens it's all the coaches fault anyway.

How often has that change of scenery thing worked with QB's in the NFL?
(Don't say Kurt Warner in AZ)
Len Dawson, YA Tittle, Sonny Jurgensen, Norm Van Brocklin, George Blanda, Steve Young, Fran Tarkenton & Warren Moon.

He was good his last year in GB. Has it ever worked with a crap QB like DA, David Carr, or whoever?Favre work? 1st year with Vikings and after his rookie year....
I don't put Palmer in that class though. He's a tough call because he's success, gotten injured, and then had his level of play drop off. He could make a nice rebound and that sounds alot like Kurt Warner did .He was good his last year in GB. Has it ever worked with a crap QB like DA, David Carr, or whoever?
See his performance the week before as well. QB rating of 46 vs. KC.I'd still take Orton for the right price. I'm not going to hold his lousy performance last week against him. He's still a top 10-15 qb in this league which is good enough to get a talented team like ours into the playoffs.
At worst he'd be a quality back up to Skelton

DA rating vs. KC 81.
fail. I don't like him. You just can't have a day like Orton had against the Cards this year.
Probably so.C'mon...lol...you know our defense is good for 1 or 2 dominant performances each year
I didn't want to start a new thread, so I thought I'd hijack this one.
Lost in the QB drama of 2010, remember we lost out to Seattle in the Charlie Whitehurst bidding war.
As I recall, we offered up our 3rd rounder to the Chargers for him, but they instead dealt him to Seattle.
Thank God. Doesn't seem he's developed much at all from what I've been reading on him.
