I couldn't believe Roosevelt Colvin was released. It's got to be an injury. Darius Walker must not work out enough in the off-season because he had decent numbers last season for the Texans: 58 att, 264 yds, 4.6 ypa, 1TD; 13 rec, 81 yds, 6.2 ypc. His stats this preseason: 22 att, 68 yds, 3.1 ypa, 0 TD; 2 rec, 13 yds.
WR Jamal Jones was released by the Eagles. You can guess the Cards might be interested in this speed threat.
I don't think the Redskins would really try to put Colt Brennan (stats: 36/53, 411 yds, 3 TD, 0 INT; 2 att, 11 yds, 1 fumble, 0 fumbles lost) on their practice squad, and he has definitely shown his college accuracy so far in the pre-season while he is a different player in the pros. I saw him play like a true gunslinger in his first preseason action but while his play fired up all the fans and teammates, Jim Zorn says he doesn't like that gung-ho style of play. I wish the gunslinger wasn't going away in the NFL, but he, Kurt, Brett and Jay Cutler seem to be the last of this dying breed, whizzing fastballs into tight spots, improvising on the run, rousing his team down the field. It's so exciting to watch but the turnovers involved with this style of play have caused coaches to try to inhibit what makes these quarterbacks good.
