Rolondo McClain will be our 1st round pick. If Beanie can fall to us,anyone can. Sapp is a nice prospect but you have to take into account he's had an ACL injury last year. Heck, maybe his injury knocks him down a round or two. The 2 best LB's i have seen are McClain and Witherspoon. The kid from TCU is supposed to be a pass rushing demon but i've never really seen him play. Will watch his bowl game though. Our first round pick will almost definitely be a LB or OT, with a slight possibility of TE Jermaine Grisham or Terence Cody being the guy.

OT's that will be looked at:
Bryan Bulaga,Iowa-he's very solid and athletic.pro comparison, Jordan Gross.
Anthony Davis, Rutgers- probably the best run blocker of the bunch.Good size at 6'6 330. He spurned OSU at last minute to stay home and attend Rutgers so you have to question his intelligence :D. pro comparison, Marcus McNeil.
Charles Brown-super athletic but probably not the Cards type of tackle. Pro comparison-D'Brickashaw Ferguson.
Ciron Black-i'm hoping for him in round 2.

The LB's joe mentioned will be in the mix for our 1st round as well. McClain will make people forget about wanting Patrick Willis. McClain, Spikes, and Witherspoon you would think have to be on top of the Cards radar.

In fact here's a Thanksgiving Cards 5 round mock:
1-Rolondo McClain,LB-can't wait to see him and Spikes in the SEC champ game.
2-Ciron Black,OT-he's been starting at LSU for 3+years running.Would be a nice replacement for Gandy.
3-Ricky Sapp,OLB-hopefully concerns about his knee drop him to round three.Probably a 2nd rounder.
4. Kurt Coleman,CB- He's been playing safety for OSU but he'll probably be a corner in the NFL. Big hitter and playmaker. Think Courtland Finnegan.
5-Jordan Shipley, WR/KR-He can take over all the return duties and be a nice #4 or 5 WR.

Cbus-----Can Kurt Coleman clear his hips and flow into a change of direction like CB's need to do ????? I think that was part of Rolle's problem at corner, He didn't have the hips to change from a back-pedal to a full out run down the field without giving up precious ground to the WR's when they tried him at CB.

Campbells production can be explained though. It went down because he played a lot of DT for Miami because of a lot of injuries. With being a DT comes less opportunity for measureable stats then DE. Campbell was also asked and obliged to gain weight to play DT. Of which did not sit well on his body.

I tought it was injuries to DT position that resulted in less inside pressure , and therefore a deeper pocket to step into, making it harder for the DE to get pressures and sacks:

http://blogs.palmbeachpost.com/caneswatch/2008/04/

Campbell’s sack total went from 10.5 to 6 and his tackles for losses dropped from an ACC-best 20.5 to 12. In the Hurricanes’ final seven games last season, Campbell registered a combined two sacks and 4.5 tackles for losses. UM lost six of those games and finished with a losing record for the first time since 1997.

UM defensive line coach Clint Hurtt attributes Campbell’s lack of production to two things: A series of injuries at defensive tackle, giving Campbell little help with inside pressure.

Hurtt also said that when Campbell got off to a slow start last season, he started pressing.

“The pressure started to mount when the numbers weren’t adding up the way everyone was expecting,” Hurtt said. “I don’t think he understood how to deal with it and the pressure got to him a little bit. That’s only natural.”

usually, good production and then lack of production, can most of the time be explained by some other stuff on the team, D-Line, injuries, whatever.

But if you show one year that you can play, you have shown your potential as NFL player IMO. I never look at production strictly anyway, stats are not equalling a great NFL player. But great play, with or without production, if you have showed that at least one year, I know the potential.

Even greatest NFL players have lack of production in some years due to many different things and some of them have clearly lacked production in college, partialy or even completely.

As for OLBs i only happened to scout Auston English alot, and i think he has amazing potential as 34 OLB. The only knock on him, is his injuries.

I like your 1st 2 picks but I have something different in mind for 3-5:

1 - Rolando McClain - Best ILB in draft
2 - Ciron Black - All-SEC tackle has played against top competition
3 - Matt Tennett - Finally a young C to groom
4 - Dexter Davis - Absolute terror to PAC-10 QB's last 4 years
5 - Devin Ross - CB/KR/PR, 2 needs with 1 pick

it's hard to tell because he really hasn't played a whole lot of corner because of the guys in front of him. Malcolm Jenkins and Donald Washington were there. I've read where projects as a corner but that may more be based on pure athleticism,4.43 forty, and he's not a real big guy for safety. He's about 5'11 190. He's probably the best tackling DB at OSU since Antoine Winfield. Like Rolle, FS may be his best position, maybe a nickel cb, but he'll make plays all over the field.

the only reason i don't think we'll take a C is because last year was one of the deepest drafts for C's in a long while and the Cards didn't select one.Plus Whiz has said he's happy with Sendlein and he's still pretty young.

I totally understand, everyone is going to have different opinions on who the Cardinals should draft. I figure that Sendlein isn't invincible or impervious to injury so it would be nice to have a backup, but that's just me wanting to be prepared in case of emergency.
