Just heard 49ers are shopping Solomon Thomas, the third pick in the 2017 draft.

Yeah I always liked him at Stanford and that's gotta be incredibly tough for a sister that close in age to him to take her own life that can't be easy for him to move past.

If they do trade him I hope he does well where he goes, nice kid.

Good example of why even the safest prospects sometimes don't pan out. Solomon Thomas had it all as a prospect - strength, quickness, explosion, technique and versatility. Maybe not the freak like Quinnen or Ed Oliver, but even in this draft he he would be a surefire top 10 pick as a prospect.

Their goal was to be drafted
Not to be great in the NFL

Ouch. You know what's worse than potentially shopping the #10 overall pick? Shopping the #3 overall pick.

I hope Thomas can turn it around...not sure what happened to that guy.
