As cool as that was, if I were his coach I'd have ripped him a new rear end.

And am I the only one who doesn't get the Stallions helmet? They're the Stallions but there helmet looks like it has wings.

So, since NFL network shows this, do they have financial involvement? They didn't show the XFL. It seems as this may become a true minor league.

Not officially but it would make sense. The NFL Network also airs the AFL. When the XFL was around, the NFL Network wasn't. NFL Network began 2 years after the XFL's one and only season. Also, NBC had exclusive rights to the XFL as Dick Ebersol was part owner of the league. That said, the AAF is already in financial difficulty as it was nearly unable to make payroll the first 2 weeks but Carolina Hurricanes owner Tom Dundon gave them $250 million so it looks like the league is already hurting.

Yeah that sure doesn't look good. I think I saw a couple of new sponsors on this past weeks broadcast beyond Navy Federal and Wheels Up (I still have no idea what Wheels Up does, their commercials don't really say and I wasn't intrigued enough to Google it). It really is all about the TV ratings for this league, higher ratings the more in demand their advertising segments will be and the more they can charge.

Realistically the players don't cost that much, I think it is a 52 man roster @ $70K a piece is only $3.6+ million. The TE we just signed has a contract worth about that.

Haven't seen a game yet. But I did have the displeasure of listening to Dan Lebatard on ESPN Radio deride the name and make fun of it. I wrote an e-mail to the ESPN Public Editor. Probably won't hear back, but I made my point.

Obviously I don't need to explain the term "Hotshots" or Yarnell or forest fires to you all.

I only watch espn for college football... usually muted with Pantera playing in the background
