LOL...

Folks would be amazed at how good this team would suddenly be with Aaron Rodgers under center. we would still need to draft another wr..
Rodgers is getting older...
If the choice was trade for him or go without... I would make the trade... if I could choose between three of the top five rooks OR trade for him.... I would take my chances with the rook... Love me some ARod, but he aint got but 5 or 6 years left in him.
we need our own ARod, our own Favre, our own Brady

and he isn’t in this draft.

You know what you would get in Rodgers. You don’t know what you would get with a draft pick, and with our record for developing qb’s, trading for Rodgers is a no-brainer.

5 years with Rodgers or 5 years with a bust??

yeah...yada yada bing bang...

Aaron Rodgers wasnt in the draft he was taken in either... just some kid from Cal everybody thought was over rated, was a system QB, was yet another in a long line of Jeff tedford QB's who will look great in college then fail miserably in the NFL. Thats why ARod didnt go number 1 overall to the Niners, thats why he slid so far.... because he wasnt Aaron Rodgers

Tom Brady wasnt in his draft either... just some kid from Michigan with questionable skills who every team in the league passed on for five rounds.

Maybe we draft a guy Like mayfield in this draft and he doesnt work out...
maybe we also draft a guy like Ryan Finley from NC State in the fourth just because we need bodies on the roster and 20 years from now the kid has seven rings and a road paved in gold all the way to Canton.
oh wow... Steve Keim went to NC State,..and likes small school draft projects...see there? Its in the stars already.

and which QB's did we have problems developing? The TE? Jake did alright in the NFL and even Leinart started out well until we changed coaches and he got injured.... hell, even Josh McCown has done okay for himself in the league.

we dont have a bad record developing QB's...we have a nearly non existent record of drafting them in the first few rounds.

I can’t argue with you. It’s a crap shoot most of the time.
Known commodity with Rodgers tho. Would be great to groom someone behind him.
Not that I feel there is a snowball’s chance in a Phoenix July of it ever happening.

I aint hating on Rodgers... get laughed at every year for keeping him on my fantasy team. The dude is nails and I would be thrilled to have him as a Redbird. but the simple reality is he is on the clock already, he will be 35 next season and even though hall of fame type QB's tend to play a little longer than most do we really think we can get even five whole seasons from him?... this past season he had two metal plates put in his collar bone with 13 screws...he came back for a single game and after getting beat to crap he was placed back on injured reserve. He under threw three balls in that game that all became INT's...
Right now Aaron Rodgers is actually NOT a known quantity. He is in fact a 34 year old QB who had his collar bone reconstructed last season and then had to go back on IR after a single game of trying to play with said repaired collar bone.

Green Bay on the other hand has a history of picking QB's... but they have to know Brett Hundley is not the answer...even though he did improve in the time he subbed in for Rodgers.

So why would the pack trade away Rodgers when they dont have his replacement on the team?
Maybe its because this is the deepest QB class in over 25 years? If thats the case then wouldnt that signal that drafting a guy is a better decision? If GB is willing to trade away a HoF guy so that they can?

or are we thinking they would trade away their HoF QB so they can be in the Kirk Cousins lottery?
I would love to have the ARod of the last 10 years... but the ARod of the next 5 years might not be the same guy...and if he were to be traded thats a pretty strong signal that GB knows the answer

Can't draft Finley until.next year...and by then he's likely not a 4th Rounder.

This is a trade I would look at for sure. I don't know what they would want for him but I would find out and see if we could make it happen. Rogers and just a few new players and this team could make several Super Bowl runs.
