Reid's oldest son Garrett, was found dead this morning at Eagles training camp. He was there assisting the strength coaches. Terribly sad, he seemed to have turned things around since his arrest.

Rip, but not overly surprising. Reid should have made more of an effort a long time ago.

That is the sad thing about hard core drug use. You can do everything right, get clean, make amends, live a good life, and still die from drugs three years later because of the damage you have done to your body. Terribly heartbreaking, and I personally have seen it to much.

I love when people say things like this. How do you know how hard he did or did not try to get his son help? What's that phrase ... you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink?

I had a chance to meet Andy Reid a few times when I was in Jersey. Always came across as a nice, good guy. Rest in peace, Garrett, and prayers for the Reid family.

That boy was a selfish brat. Sorry, but he had everything available and he chose drugs over and over again. I feel bad for Andy and his family. Loosing a child would be a nightmare.

I really don't want this to degenerate into a flame war. Please be careful with what you post.

people who have serious addictions don't CHOOSE to have them. Calling the kid (who you didn't know and obviously had deep psychological addiction) a brat seems a little weird to me.
