I want to buy a portable basketball hoop for my new house, but I have no idea how difficult they are to assembly. I assume some of you guys have done this before. Is it simple or complicated?

About 80% of the work is really easy and you can do by yourself. The rest can get a little tricky simply due to the size of the backboard and pole. Just have somone that can help you finish up and make sure that everything is lined up perfectly and you won't have a problem.

i think if you have 2 people you should be fine.

From what I remember, standard tools should be fine. The biggest thing that I would look at is how it's anchored down and how sturdy it is--there's nothing I like less than shooting a basketball at a backboard and rim that bends down when it's touched, giving a springy feel to the shot.
